Welcome to the Horizon [Galactic Frontier Thread]

After having completed her morning training, Zuqetta found herself soaring through the skies of Central City; simply using the day to take in the sights. Unlike Plant, Earth had proven to be a highly diverse and sporadic ecosystem; brimming with live in almost every corner. The colors, the atmosphere, the sounds, the creatures; everything was so unique and bright! With a contemplative expression, Zuqetta wondered if perhaps Plant used to have such an ecosystem as well. When she had visited the Tuffle city, the scenery was pretty similar to how things appeared here on earth; save for the excessive advanced technology. It really began to put things into perspective for here as to who was truly in the wrong when it came to the ongoing war...

Her thoughts would be interrupted however, by a sudden voice ringing out directly into her mind. "Woah, what!? Who's there!?!" Immediately, Zuqetta would take up a defensive stance; looking in all directions frantically as the voice continued to speak, "A-Azoth!? Where the heck are you!? Ship? Land of Ice?? Hello!?!?" Just as quickly as the voice had spoken up, it would go silent; leaving Zuqetta confused and somewhat panicked.

Without hesitation, Zuqetta would burst through the skies at full speed towards the north, feeling out for Azoth's power. Still clad in her dark blue underlay from having been training, the temperature began to take a harsher grip on her as she ventured further and further into the icy tundra. As Azoth said however, the ship was relatively easy to locate; thanks in no small part to her ability to sense energy out in this otherwise empty waste of ice and snow. Luckily, what would make finding it even easier would be it's absolutely massive size and amazing design!

"D-wha!? WOAH!!!" Zuqetta would exclaim would widened eyes, "THIS is a ship!?" She questioned; her only other reference to space faring being her substantially smaller Attack Pod, "THIS IS SO COOL!!!" Like a child with a new toy, Zuqetta's heart would race with excitement at even being allowed near such a ship. She would dart all around it, flying from wing to wing; top to bottom and front to back. Taking it all in; the amazing sight of something the likes of which she'd never seen before. Her mind raced with curious thoughts; it's exact size, it speed, capabilities, inner facilities. She wanted to take it apart, and learned how it all worked; as a cold wind blew by however, giving her a chill, she would suddenly snap back to reality and remember the reason she was here in the first place.

Though still suppressed from it's maximum, Zuqetta would allow her energy to raise a bit to hopefully get someones attention as she approached. "Hey! Anyone home!" She called out rhetorically as she landed in the snow before the ship. She could feel the energy of a good few within; a crew she'd yet to meet. As she approached the open hanger bay door, all she could hope at this point was that she wouldn't be attacked on sight upon arriving; she DID announce herself after all, though... that was after rushing around the ship like a bit of a lunatic...

After his message, Azoth made sure to prepare a proper little feast for when his friends would make it. He had snacks, drinks, and plenty of place to sit, the perfect little preparation for receiving new friends over, or so he decided, he had never quite had friends over before. It did not take too long for the arcosian to start picking up signatures coming his way, notable Zuqetta! Good seems like she would have no real trouble finding the ship in the end, considering the sheer size of it, the fact that there was nothing else around and the general direction was good. At least that was taken care of.

While on his way to the main door, as he heard it opened and figured that Zuqetta was coming in, wanting to introduce her to the ship himself, Azoth certainly did not expect Forkay to be there. He heard his voice speak to who he assumed was the Saiyan girl. Had he arrived sooner? He did not have a trace of snow on him, when did he even get there? Well, that would have to come later, as now was the time to finally greet a new member of the team.

'' Hey, Zuqetta! Hey Kayfor! Glad you managed to find the ship without too much trouble. How do you like the Freezing Horizon so far you two?''

He directed the question to both since Kayfor was there and it would be rude to point him out now, although questions would surely be coming later.

But the arcosian had arrived just in time to hear the androids... question about Zuqetta's origins... wait... how could one possibly think that? Azoth would raise an eyebrow and look at Zuqetta, his face about to explode from laugher, although he would restain himself... for now.

'' We can talk in the living area, I've prepared some snacks and all, in case any of you are hungry. ''

Azoth would then lead them to said area if they chose to follow him. They would eventually end up in a room that mixed living room and dining room, which a table for about a dozen people and a bunch of couches with a giant screen a few meters away from there, with everything one could possibly want in such quarters.

'' I've prepared a room for you Zuqetta. Of course, you can change anything in it. Either things you can do yourself, or you can ask the Mini-Paladions for more complicated stuff, they might look weird, but they are incredibly efficient at what they do... which is everything.''

Just as he said that a comically small and proportioned Mini-Paladion would enter the room and hand drinks to all of them, before leaving for probably another task.

    The saiyanling screamed loudly and 4K further hid behind the door, holding back a retch when he was asked if he had a metal arm. At least she couldn't sense him. As expected, her gene donor wasn't too far, appearing before the android managed to talk his child into a slip up. "Freezing Horizon is fine." he lied, in reality the ship was very fine, but telling the truth wasn't in his nature. Invited to the living area, 4K let go of the door, still keeping some distance from the fleshies. Father and daughter sunk into polite conversation, leaving the robot to question his wisdom. Usually he accounted for even the wildest scenarios, but never would he have guessed that a child had joined Azoth's movement! The arcosian's pretense of nobility soared so high and lofty that the idea of risking a young life went counter to his database article... and that unnerved 4K almost as much as this war toddler.

    He had seen and inspected the Mini-Paladions, but not long enough to hack or bug one. He thought they were fine drones, but some instinct inherited from K4 drove him to pat each he came across. Every time he felt the biochemistry in his brain shift, and his vestigial heart wheezed in fleeting adoration. He refused to admit the mild euphoria he got when he looked down, noticing he was blocking the way of one of the drones. He sent it on its way with a pat-pat, looking around the living room — which honestly resembled a dining room. 4K didn't like that. Naturally, he gravitated towards a bowl of fruit, peeling the blueish prickly skin of an Arcosian banana, savoring its meaty zest.

    "Y'know, you still haven't answered either of my questions." he said at last, taking another bite, scarfing it openly "Is this cub war-trained? And yours?"

    Notice his slightly shifted gait: around Zuqetta he looked ready to dash at any moment. It wasn't just disgust, he actively feared children.

Acting as she had done when she had first broken into Vennel apartment, Zuqetta was quick to make herself at home; an easy thing to do considering she already had Azoth's blessing on the matter. "Chips?" Zuqetta questions, "Oh! Those fried potato slices! I love those!" She exclaimed as she hopped over the back of one of the couches to land playfully upon it's soft cushions; the sensation reminded her of home, she hadn't even realized she missed the couch she slept on back on Plant, "Heh, I could go for some potato chips! I was trainin' before your crazy brain message, so I'm starvin'!" She said cheerfully as she hung over the back of the couch; only for a Mini Paladion to almost immediately acquiesce to the request; appeared swiftly from seemingly nowhere with a bag of chips presented in tow.

"GAH!" Zuqetta exclaimed, falling back off the couch in a startled manner, "W-where the!? Wha-??" Gesturing an offer with the bag of chips, Zuqetta would hesitantly accept the bag; doing so, the Mini Paladion would quickly depart the area accordingly with its task fulfilled, "Heh.. they uh, really DO, do everything, huh?" Zuqetta laughed awkwardly as she pulled herself back onto the couch.

Opening the bag of chips, Zuqetta made herself comfortable once more as she listened to Azoth stammer from K4's statement; she couldn't help but laugh just a bit, not having been able to imagine someone so powerful getting caught off guard as Azoth was. "Yeah! I'm not some 'cub'!" Zuqetta added, "Hmm, but I'm not really sure exactly how old I am..." Zuqetta continued as she hung over the couch and thought about the matter, "The operation time on that old chamber was dated to have activated sixteen years ago... so maybe I'm sixteen?" She questioned, referencing the incubation chamber she used in infancy as most Saiyans used; not realizing such a device may not have been commonplace for other species.

"Heh, don't worry metal guy! I wouldn't hurt ya!" She followed up with a grin, "Fighting should be somethin' we do for fun! That's what I believe at least!" She finished cheerfully before digging back into her back of chips and slumping back onto the couch comfortably.

Zuqetta's reaction to the Mini-Paladion's voice recognition and ability to quickly accomplish tasks asked was amusing, getting a bit of a laugh from Azoth as she jumped. After finding his breath back, he nodded.

'' Yeah, be careful what you ask for around here, I cannot stress how often they brought me a clock because I complained there was not enough time. They are still prototypes after all, but they work just fine if you are clear enough.''

Just like it had comedic time, a Mini-Paladion arrived and handed Azoth a clock... oh right... he did say the sentence, even if it was not complete.

How 4k spoke of Azoth and Zuqetta's meeting was... pretty damn strange. Why was he creepy beyond words? It's not like he promised her candy or something strange like that, they were partners right now. Although, figures that the android would not know that... oh well.

'' Nah, she's part of the team, not just some random girl. If anything, I could maybe fill in the role of a big brother, I did never get the little sister I was supposed to... although, 4K, we don't lay eggs. Also, I'm a male, so even if we did... well, you know. ''

For someone who was supposed to be well informed, 4K really seemed to lack some important knowledge. Although, Arcosians did mostly got rid of live birth by using machines to carry the embryo, made it easier for everyone involved.

W-wait.

'' W-wait! An old chamber? Zuqetta, do you remember anything before coming out of that chamber? Do you remember having parents?''

That was a good question, and it came right before 4K gave Azoth a friendly bump, along with a remark.

Azoth turned to him, visibly amused.

'' Isn't your dad like... a scientist? Be careful what you say, hers might just be a legendary warrior or something.''

He looked back at Zuqetta. Yeah, it would make sense, considering just how strong she was at a young age.

    Every. Damn. Joke. Was. Going. Over. His. Damn. Head. For a moment 4K hated Azoth virulently, barely resisting the urge to stab his throat with one of his own dumb horns. He knew well how that would pan out, now that the most powerful warrior in the galaxy in cahoots with a child. Dizzy with pent-up aggression, 4K leaned against the window, dramatically pressing his forehead against it. The view left much to be desired.

    "Whatever." he growled at the arcosian and his well-meaning explanations. His despair grew more immense when Zuqetta revealed the mad joy with which she would destroy break apart the machine man. She made it seem like a fun game, not the death threat that it effectively was... Azoth had such a terrible taste in 'teammates'! There was only a single hire 4K could not see a fault in, that of cunning and devious mind, compacted into an impressively flexible body. "It's impolite to ask experiments about their creation." he snided at Azoth, better versed in mad science etiquette than small talk with normal people "You don't go around asking baseline organics-" he needed a moment to think of a fitting comparison "in what position they were birthed."

    Proud, the robot smugly stretched his cyborg body, going for another swipe at the chips. He was still figuring out how to eat them. "Where's Faustus?" not that the majin came off as the sociable kind, but K4 was very fond of him. 4K was curious to meet him too, as their lives rhymed in places. His guidance would ensure survival.

"Soul?" Zuqetta questioned, "Oh! Sorry! I didn't mean ta sound like I wanted ta kill anyone; I didn't realize... I thought he was just a big, funny robot." Zuqetta said apologetically as she sat back up upon the couch, turning towards K4, "My bad ro- err, Kayfour; hope I didn't upset ya with that." She continued, hoping K4 didn't think to badly of her for her comment from before, "Err... or was it, Fourkay, heh??" She said with a bit of a laugh as she looked towards Azoth; having heard him say both variations. She wouldn't dwell on the worry too much, especially not after hearing the magic words from Azoth about the Mini Paladions; a statement good enough to be taken as permission! Zuqetta eyed a Mini Paladion that casually cleaned across the room; she WOULD have one!

Zuqetta was quick to forgive Azoth's assumption; it had been a simple miscommunication after all. The conversation however, then took an abruptly awkward turn as another was mentioned; Faustus. Azoth told the truth immediately; considering Zuqetta had just met with Faustus just the other day, it didn't seem like his words were that far off either. She felt like bringing up the encounter, but held herself back; just mentioning him had already made the mood feel sour, and it was better off left to a private conversation.

"Uhh, on that note!" Zuqetta chimed in, attempting to swiftly change the topic, "When will I get ta meet the other members of the Galactic Frontier? Like this Paladion person?" Zuqetta asked excitedly, "Hehe, I'd love ta figure out how they made all these Mini Paladion's!" She cheered, "And where's this room of mine you promised~?" Zuqetta teased with a sly grin, "Oh, before that though, I just realized! We've been talkin' about so much random stuff, but didn't you say in that crazy brain message that you wanted to discuss some plans before going back to Arose?" Zuqetta questioned curiously as her tail twitched about with interest.
