Aggression broke out just within the borders of the Northern Scar; a small group of Dragon Clan Namekians accompanied by several Namekian Warrior guards and a few non-Namekian allies had bumped into a group of rowdy Mazoku Namekians who were known to be from the Okestra Gang— now, as fearsome as the groups reputation may be, they weren’t much of a threat in actuality. They were even outcasts among the wider Mazoku Clan since they had such an intense dislike of authority beyond what they would dictate for themselves— they had one strict rule above all else; which was to not kill— they were anarchists through and through rather than heartless as some may think.
Of course, their way of life did mean they often ran afoul of others, and right now was no different. They were loitering and lurking around this area when the second group arrived wanting passage, and this quickly became a shouting match!
“Get lost, we were here first, find another way into the Scar!” One of the gangsters boomed, some of their fellow members hyped them up with cheering and hollering.
“This is the quickest path to our destination, we know more than enough of your reputation, but please, listen to reason!” An elder among the Dragon Clan Namekians stepped forward and responded with a firm yet kind voice.
Shouting and arguing continued until one of the Okestra Gang had enough of the noise and threw a rock at the other group, causing a brawl between the Okestra Gang and the allies of the Dragon Clan. For the most part, the groups were evenly matched, but one man stood out amongst those allied with the Dragon Clan— The Saiyan hybrid Nero! He fought quickly and efficiently to fend off attackers, and eventually he noticed something; a meek young Mazoku Namekian wearing the Okestra Gang cloak that was simply doing their best to completely avoid combat altogether, even clumsily fumbling over rocks and fighters that were already knocked out.
After smacking away another Okestra Gang member, Nero swiftly got over to the anxious youth’s side, guiding them behind a boulder to avoid the fight, soon recognising them from one of his usual delivery runs. “Cordin!? What in Porunga’s scales are you doing here?”
“N-n-nero!? I-I, um— th-they w-were causing trouble a-around my village, s-so I—” Cordin gulped nervously “I-I said I’d j-join them if they left my village alone a-a-and it worked, b-but— pleasedon’tbemad—” Cordin shrunk into themselves for fear of being yelled at, but Nero instead calmly put a hand on the youths shoulder. “Hey, look, I’m not mad, mostly just surprised. Yeah what you did wasn’t the uh, best course of action, but you did it for the protection of your village— and that is pretty brave.” Nero peeked around the boulder to get a better sense of the fight before turning back to Cordin. “We should sort out the issue with your village, but first we have to stop this fight before anyone gets seriously hurt...”
