The Wolf of Brawlstreet [Open]

A loud *boom* sounded out as Mayze’s power packed fist struck against Beowulf’s forearms, pushing the man several feet away. The saiyan cursed under his breath, he was counting on that fist to drop the man. He’d used all his energy on that and now he was left wide open to a counter. At least Mayze had done some damage, Beowulf’s forearms looked a bit messed up, but that was about it. This guy was too strong.

The man said do get ready, and so Mayze did. In a blink of an eye, the man was on Rensou, and sent a chop the boy’s way. Mayze could feel the impact from where he stood, the poor guy was basically tossed across the ring from the blow. He seemed to struggle to get up.

Then, in an instant, Beowulf was on him. Mayze narrowed his eyes, trying to project his ki into a barrier, but failed. A save chop struck his right side, sending the saiyan flying. He hit the ground, rolling till he stopped near the edge of the ring on his stomach. The air was knocked from his lungs, and he gave pained gasps as he struggled to take in breaths. The saiyan grit his teeth, rising to one knee despite the pain. From a glance, it was evident that his armor was shot, having nearly shattered from the blow. The saiyan shook his head, and took the armor off, tossing it out of the ring, leaving him in his black undersuit.

Slowly, gingerly he rose to both feet, a hand holding his right side which throbbed with pain. He felt a stabbing pain every time he took his breath, but he ignored it, He’d been through worse. He took a cursory glance at the scene, noticing the sudden increase in power from the saiyan woman. Maybe the attack she threw Beowulf’s way would knock him on his ass.

He glanced at Rensou, eyes narrowing at his prone form. Through grit teeth, he painfully managed, “That all you got? You don’t lose if you get knocked down, you lose if you stay down! Now get up and fight!”

Hopefully, Zuquetta could distract Beowulf while he regained some stamina.

Mayze triumphantly grinned when Zuqetta’s powerful slashes connected across Beowulf’s chest. Hopefully, that would be enough to put him down for the count. There was some serious power packed behind those slashed, and a lot of blood had been spilled from them. Mayze doubted he himself could get up after an attack like that.

“Nice hit” Mayze called out of the saying woman, “No way he kee-“

Alas, it seemed Beowulf wasn’t done just yet. He stopped in the middle of the ring, and seemed to have another trick up his sleeve. The alien’s power began to grow at a serious clip, dwarfing the strength of everyone else.

“Kaio-what now?” Mayze asked with a confused expression.

Rensou managed to drag himself to his feet, and to Mayze’s shock, flung himself with another attack at Beowulf. It probably wouldn’t do much to hurt the man, but Mayze admired the effort. He wouldn’t have blamed the kid if he stayed down after Beowulf unveiled his new strength.

“You got him!” he shouted after Rensou.

It appeared Beowful wasn’t the only combatant with a trick up their sleeve. With a fearsome battlecry, Zuquetta began to power up, a dark blue aura enveloping. Mayze’s began to feel her ki increase at an impressive clip until… it just stopped? And started to fall back to her earlier power? What?

With an incredulous expression, he turned towards the Saiyan woman. To his surprise, she was on the ground, her stomach growling like a starved saibia-beast. She… she was too hungry? Actually, know that Mayze thought about it…

His stomach growled loudly too. He was pretty hungry himself, and could go for a meal… but... but he wanted to fight too. Beowulf was the strongest fighter he’d ever seen, and the prospect of taking him excited him. The lust for battle was pulling at him.

The saiyan set his feet.

“RRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH,” his blue aura flared into place, slowly turning a bright red. The ground shook as he drew from the rage within, using it to augment his power. Small rocks began to levitate off the ground around the saiyan, and the radius of his aura grew into a raging red inferno as the wind picked up.

“AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHH—,” and, he was done. The aura around him shrunk in size, but remained viable. The rocks dropped to the ground, and the wind returned to its original gust.

The Saiyan glared daggers at Beowulf, “How’s this for a trick?”

The fight would wage on for an extended period, with each participant displaying their might with vigor and ferocity. Minutes would turn into hours and with no fighter backing down, it would seem as though the fight would drag on for an eternity. Gradually, the crowd that had gather to watch the tournament; with all their excitement and cheers, would begin to disperse. One by one, the onlookers would retreat, returning to their everyday lives as the excitement died down. Silence would then fall upon the area, with nothing more than the sounds of fists making contact being heard.

With the notice of the silence, and a brief intermission, the fighters would realize that there was no further point in continuing their bout. The fun had been had and the fight would conclude; with none properly being able to declare a winner. The group of fighters would also take to departing, going their separate ways with a mild sense of joy from what had transpired. For to them, it was hardly a matter of finding a victor amongst them; rather, all that mattered was the enjoyment of the fight, something of which they had each readily indulged themselves with.

It wouldn't be until hours later, back at her apartment, that Zuqetta would find herself annoyed upon realizing that she hadn't received the free food she'd been promised...
