Far to the edges of the Vegeta Region's north, beyond the Borgos Bluffs and nearing the fringes of the Saiba Wastes; Zuqetta sat patiently high upon a towering rock formation, her eyes closed as she tried to feel for the world around her. The wind was harsh and cold, and the sky remained completely shrouded in thick clouds. She'd focused on practicing with the scroll given to her by Zriracha for some time now, but had yet to fully unlock it's secrets. By Zriracha's explanation, what she used was called magic; and the scroll she had given was to gauge Zuqetta's magical potential.
The scroll itself was imbued with a power called Magic Materialization; and supposedly, by utilizing her own magical ability, Zuqetta should have been able to activate the scroll and materialize the construct held within. This had, however, proven to be an impossible task; at least at face value. Zuqetta had a hard time believing that there was anything like 'magic' involved in the process of Zriracha's ability; if there were, then why did the Satyr look so fatigued when using said ability? No, the fatigue Zuqetta witnessed was no different than one who was fatigued from Ki loss; as such, Zuqetta had decided on a different approach to this so called, magic.
Ki, was energy, Ki was a life force that existed in all living things; from fauna to flora, Ki could be felt from all things. The only problem was, Zuqetta couldn't feel Ki...
She had read about Ki from the books back at the manor, books that she now knew were NOT Saiyan in origin. Though she didn't know what planet they originated from, she at least knew that the individuals of such a world seemed to have a differing understanding of Ki. While Saiyans were aware of it, they saw it merely as Power, not a life; for the most part, many aware of it referred to it as such and believed that only they or stronger individuals held it. But this was not the case as Zuqetta had come to learn; Ki was in anything that lived and moved. More specifically, energy itself could come from nearly anything; which was what she learned when studying about the physics of potential and kinetic energy.
Through some 'borrowed' books taken from a locked room in the Information Citadel of Sadala, Zuqetta had even managed to learn about some form of object that was even smaller than microbes. It didn't seem possible, but apparently, Tuffle scientist had known about it for eons; molecules and atoms. Zuqetta had questioned why her own kind wasn't taught about such things, but the answer was quickly given; it had little to do with fighting and power.
Zuqetta sighed as she lamented the workings of the world she'd been born into, recent experiences had made her question what life would have been like to be born elsewhere. But she quickly shook her head of the thoughts; she was gaining knowledge, and that was only possible due to her birth. Had she been born elsewhere, then there would be no telling how long she'd have remained ignorant for. For now, she focused on the task at hand, and that was on sensing for energy.
From how she understood things, what Zriracha perceived as magic was simply a greater form of energy manipulation. She believed Zriracha was capable of controlling a great deal of energy at once; but on the scale of these 'molecules'. Such things were impossible to see, but if true, then it would all make sense; magic materialization was all a trick. By controlling the energy in atoms, one could transform one thing into another; or even move something from one place to another at faster than the speed of light.
Thinking about it hurt Zuqetta's head a bit as she tried to apply some form of understanding to it; but it made sense as to why it would be called magic, as one couldn't apply the usual understanding it it. Zuqetta now sat patiently upon her perch, with her hands outstretched over the scroll. There were a lot of things she did in the heat of the moment that she simply didn't understand, like how she could control an energy she couldn't even feel and use it for an attack. Her understanding was growing however, as did her power; as slow as the process may have seemed. Focusing her energy into her hands, her ki would begin to manifest must like a blue, wispy aura. It was transparent and soft; an incredible difference from the opaque bubbling aura she had displayed so many times before when trying to form her Ki Claws.
The scroll would begin to illuminate, the symbols and glyph upon it seemingly activating in response to Zuqetta's actions; however, her energy was quickly waning, and becoming more and more difficult to control. Besides the energy around her hands, and aura would continuously erupt and die out around her body several times. It was as though a lighter was being played with, and the flame was struggling to survive in a heavy wind. The aura was white, transparent, and calm; but as Zuqetta struggled, hints of the bright red aura she'd exhibited in the past would spontaneously erupt. She could feel herself losing concentration; the energy around her hands formed sharply into jagged claws and the white aura vanished, completely replaced by red. With that, Zuqetta would finally stop; releasing all the energy and slumping over as she tried to catch her breath; the scroll fading in response...
The wind continued to blow fiercely, but in spite of her exhaustion, Zuqetta would sit back up and resume her training; beginning first with calming meditation. Anger and frustration was her biggest weakness, and one she desperately sought to quickly overcome. She'd made progress, but needed more discipline. Such was the reason she'd come so far out into the empty expanses; she wanted a place to train properly, and undisturbed, but only so much could be accomplished by herself. As such, she had made prior arrangements...
Earlier this same day, with the flip of a coin, a request was made; she wanted to be met far away from the city, and she wanted to be trained properly. Vennels hand's off approach wasn't bad, but Zuqetta yearned for a proper challenge; and no longer feeling comfortable approaching Vennel since the mission, she sought the only other she'd had such a major interaction with, Zriracha.
