"MISSUS JEANS!"
That loud voice was very unmistakable. Jerry, the young mechanic's boss, was yelling at a certain young woman from behind closed doors. Even with that, the muffled and deep baritone of the large man pierced through the small storage rooms and up to the garage lot. had it not been for another coworker knocking and letting him know how clearly people could hear him it'd probably have gone on far longer than that short burst. Inside that office, a young woman with carrot hair was sat in a crude seat across from this large man. Jerry standing up from his armchair to have proper height on her. Wearing overalls himself and coddling a cigarette in his hands.
"-... How many times do I have to tell ya, girl. Customer's always right! Ya can't keep arguing and trying to explain their complaints away!"
Up to this point, she had kept quiet. The lass eventually snapped at the older man though. Unsurprising, it was part of the reason she was in here. She straightened up from her chair and raised her voice.
"Come on, the guy came in with something he did himself! I fixed it just the day before-"
"That don't matter! You've argued with at least three customers I could count in just the past month!!"
He was quick to interrupt her mid-sentence. Gesturing with a wild hand with an accusatory finger pointed straight at her. Pausing just to take a deep draw of his smoke with his free hand. Something which Jackie frowns at, as a whole. Tightening her hand into a fist.
"Take the rest of the day off, alright Jackie? Need ya to simmer down and come back in next Monday with a clear head."
She moved to protest, standing completely now and squinting hard at Jerry. He'd not flinch. Staring her back in the eyes. The young monk would recoil and growl under her breath.
"No, this ain't fair, I need the hours!-"
"I said go!"
"What a load of CRAP!"
Packing a bag of her work clothes, Jackie kicked a wrench across the garage floor on her way out of the workshop. Shutting the door far too hard for it to be fine. She didn't care at the time though, her mind was so muddled with anger that she had to get some form of force out of her system. Didn't help she'd have a decent flight back home to think on it if she just went there. She jumped up for a takeoff, leaving an angry streak of orange-red in her wake. There's a sudden shift in her trajectory mid-flight though. Instead of going home, the sun monk decided to grab a bite to eat.
It was perhaps one of her favorite. A Spaceys. Fancy-ish dine in. Has a lot of Earthling cuisine as well as some more favorites from across the galaxy. And the one centered here in the city was one of the finest in Her eyes. Already sat up in her bar chair, the tired woman places an order and keeps the bag at her side.
