She said he was useful, but again, he just hoped his only measure of usefulness was not the fact that he was a friendly fellow. He had joined Cheri to help her out and make sure his strength could be used well, he did not really want to be somebody’s calming medicine. That was why he was trying his best to grow stronger. Then again, he did not need Cheri to reassure him of anything such as that.
“Hm, well then.”
The false vision of Cheri soon began to come together into what was its true form; a mannequin, nothing different than what could have possibly been the most ordinary object in a tailor’s shop. But well, even Nasu was a bit surprised. He had supposed that was some kind of magic vision, instead it was a mannequin all along. That aside, too, there was no need for that kind of thing anymore.
They had the real thing, right there and then. Cheri. It was so odd for Nasu to see her in something that did not completely resemble General Cheri but also managed to make herself recognizable: it was hard to put it down to words, but it was as if he was looking at another Cheri that was still the one he knew. It was a good thing. She had not changed, she just made herself look… good? He was not sure about what he thought.
But surely, he had to cut off the excessive thinking. And instead he shut his eyes and nodded with a smile towards Cheri, before he let his orbs breathe and bask within the room’s light once more. Yet, his attention shifted away to Pavlova as he stepped away and scratched his cheek.
Why did the stranger even make him put the flower on? He was getting a lot of strange signals from people when he was around Cheri, to begin with — surely they had to mean something.
Nasu realized the message himself: these clothes were going to be reformed easily, which meant he was not going to remain shirtless. Not for lengthy amounts of time at least, that was a good thing. But again, it was only a mere step forward. He now had to find even greater strength to fulfill the duty he had taken under Cheri. But how? That was a difficult question surely.
Ah well.
From his short time on Earth, the man had come across the idea that one had to pay for services and things. It was not an idea he disagreed with or whatever, he honestly thought it was pretty normal, but this Pavlova guy apparently was not interested about it. For their suits were magical or something, he guessed in a way that was quite alright but also he wished he could have at least offered the dude something for the good time he offered both him and Cheri.
“I guess you could just get money without really trying, or not need them at all with the kind of abilities you have. Sorry. But again I am grateful we have come across your place. Thank you again.”
The man gave a respectful dip of his head, a half-bow of sorts before he turned around and while he began to step away and out, he slowly stopped and looked back. He heard Pavlova talking once more, about hats nonetheless. He sighed, and formed a faint smile across his features before he finally left the building. It was easy to assume he did so with Cheri, unless she wanted to stay longer. But by now, he was outside.
He thought the sky was beautiful, now that the sun was finally falling and dark time was coming. The stars were visible, to the point where even his eyes could focus one minute to rest upon finding the several drawings and forms the multitude of celestial bodies took and graced the Earthlings with their sight.
Time had passed quickly while in the shop to begin with… and he guessed that night time was approaching, he was pretty sure Cheri would have headed on to rest and therefore, he simply looked at her with his arms folded over his chest.
“Well, that was fun. Anyway, where to now? I suppose we call it a day?”
In truth, if Cheri had other plans, he was also fine with following them. But he wondered what she could possibly intend to do, if anything at all.
