Never Again (Phakk, Invite)

Phakk hummed a she flew through the hot desert air, the girl happily doing loop-de-loops and flips as she enjoyed the sun and  the ambient heat and the- "Wait... Shaku?" She murmurs, coming to a stop as a familiar energy pinged on her senses. How... odd. She hadn't really expected to see him again since the Namekian's hasty departure from Carcear. What was he doing out here in a desert? He didn't seem like the type to just go to places like this, like her... And she was a little worried about him. After all, what happened in that tower had been... kind of disturbing. So, the girl angled herself in the air and set off with a small boom towards his direction. 

It didn't take long for her to figure out where he was,  as there seemed to be some sort of... giant... triangle? Pyramid? In the middle of the desert. It was the direction from which his signature was emanating from, so Phakk supposed he'd gone in there, but... she couldn't help but wonder why their meetings kept happening inside large and vaguely ominous structures. Flying through the air, the girl finally settles down at the seeming entrance to the pyramid, her shoes touching the sand for the first real time as she realised just how hot it was. Moving forward, she peered inside, following Shakuhachi's signature. "Shaku-" She starts, before blinking as the girl's eyes adjusted to the dark inside and she noted just how... ill he looked. "Wh- what the- Hold on!" She calls out, moving to head over to the Namekian and attempt to heal him with her divine magic. 

"W-what? No-" Phakk begins in surprise, before everything happened so far. Being pushed off of him, from where the girl had bee rejuvenating the man, she watched as he ran further back into the temple... pyramid... thing. Raising her hand, she hesitates a little, watching him retreat. Frowning, the girl stands up and dusts herself off, sand spraying everywhere as she makes sure she's clean. That... could have gone better. He seemed to blame her for what had happened upon Carcear, which wasn't sure, but she guessed she could understand...  It had been a scary time, after all. For a moment the girl considered just... leaving. But then again, he had seemed... pretty weakened when  she found him. And he'd just run off into the spooky temple without telling her why. What if it happened again? Maybe he was narcoleptic?

Either way... Phakk couldn't in good conscience leave him alone in this place. So, with a small sigh, she sets off into the temple after the Namekian at a slow gate, so as to not alarm him. "Sh-shaku?" She calls out. "Be careful! We don't know what this place is! ...I-i'm not hunting you! I just wanted to check on you and say hi! P... please don't run away again! This..." She takes a glance around at the angular corridors. "This place is scary.." It reminded her of... somewhere. She couldn't quite put a finger on it, but the further i she explored after the Namekian, the more bells were rung.

"Oh no." Is all that comes from Phakk's mouth as she watched Shakuhachi just drop down through the floor in a trap she herself hadn't seen. Floating over as quickly as she could, the girl kneels down and bends over to look down the hole, just in time to wince as she watches him land. "Oof." She murmurs, before the Namekian seems to stand up and move away, out of sight. "At least he seems to be okay..." She murmurs, before moving to step into the hole and sloooooowly make her way down. This place felt... odd. And more familiar the lower she descended. What was going on...? Phakk was relatively certain she hadn't brought any sort of giant pyramid with her when she left Carcear, so why did this have the same sort of... feeling to it?

The woman was so distracted by her thoughts that she barely noticed when she landed, the Dark hissing at the back of her mind. Even it wanted nothing to do with this place, which was... simultaneously worrying and relieving. Phakk knew there was more to her magic than even she knew, but it had never seemed... afraid of anything before. And whole it wasn't right now, it was cautious, which... provoked alarms. Looking down at where Shaku had landed, she frowns. A mouth... not unlike that which her own magic- She shakes her head, losing track of her thoughts as Phakk takes to looking around. Spotting Shakuhachi again, she opens her mouth to call out to him... and instead, something went in. A gas, one that... blurred her vision and... made it... hard to... think...

She watched as her vision dimmed and Shakuhachi himself began to lower. At the back of her mind, the Dark hissed in rage. It urged her to let it loose. It would take over, and  punish those that did this. And yet, before Phakk could come to a decision regarding that, everything went dark.

Phakk had little to no idea what was going on, as she woke up from the induced darkness and found herself in a situation right out of one of her games. Which would be cool... if it weren't for the fact that it seemed she and Shaku were going to be sacrificed by all these oddly dressed weirdos with no fashion sense. Taking a look around, Phakk looks past the oddly dressed people, and to the walls around them. They were daubed with symbols, swirling and yet jagged. Some were old, seemingly carved into the stone itself, while others seem to be freshly painted in red..."Oh no." She murmurs, finally realising what was going on. Glancing down, she spots Shakuhachi a little further down, similarly struggling in his binds. "U-um-" She starts, and that was when the chanting began. 

"Omnviazah eenroloku, Nrrqrfd zarekis." The oddly dressed strangers began intoning. "W-well-" Phakk starts, swallowing and looking around for something. Anything. Any way out. Any way to help Shaku. And within her... The Darkness responded. It promised freedom. Power. All it required was a little... permission. "I... I have one!" She calls down to Shaku. "B-but i'm not sure h-h-how good of an idea it is! It could end up bad!" Phakk had never quite allowed her magic to go unabated, and even now that seemed like a bad idea. But maybe... maybe a little slip up? Just a little lax, in the name of freedom? She... she wasn't sure.

"U-um, w-w-well, I-" She starts, blinking and swallowing back her rapidly drying throat, before looing down to Shaku  with concern. He was below her, and practically in the flames. Any longer and something bad could happen to him. She knew he was strong, as strong as she was at least, compared to when they last met, but something must have weakened him. Perhaps it was the heat? She had heard something about that before, when she asked about Namekians. Something about water making them stronger. So it'd stand to reason that the opposite could work with fire... "O-okay. Um... J-j-just... You gotta run, alright? D-don't look back. Just get out as fast as you can. I've n-never done this before." She calls down to him, but by that point they were out of time.

Closing her eyes,  Phakk holds her breath, even as her mind begins to... sink. All of a sudden she felt it. Like she was... floating. Around her, the Dark surged and flowed in the depths of her mind. Tendrils of shadow that whispered and caressed her, reassuring her that everything was going to be fie. Usually Phakk would simply ignore it. But for once... she let it go, just the tiniest bit. And back in the waking world, everything began to... shift a little. 

All around the room, the runes began to light up. Vibrant, they seemed to... warp in the air, flickering around from place to place yet simultaneously remaining stationary. The air itself grew heavy, and the room... dark. The light seemed to drain out from the temple room, as the fire lessened and snuffed out. The room plunged into darkness... yet it didn't remain that way for long. In her chains, Phakk's body jerks. Thrashing around with enough force to swing herself, her body seemed to bubble and contort. Her flesh shifted and sloughed as violet tendrils burst from seemingly random intervals along her body, as her eyes bulged for a moment, before shifting to an inky black. 

A purple and red mass burst forth from her body, stringy and pulsating as it swarmed over the chains surrounding her and stretched across the gap between herself and the rest of the room, swallowing all in a tide of flesh. It shifted and swarmed towards the cultists, a tidal wave of fleshy creep that opened slavering, jagged maws and glowing orange eyes that provided the only real light in the room. A snap was heard as the chains around Phakk disappeared, leaving only a girl floating in the air with a too-wide, sharp toothed grin on her face and blood red talons. With a slice, Shakuhachi would find himself freed of his bindings. 

And that was about the time the screaming started. 

A mad, cackling laugh sounded above the dying screams of the cultists. All over the room the fleshy mass spread, and from each slavering mouth the laugh was echoed. From it all, spear like tendrils stabbed forth and into the fleeing cultists. The lucky ones died on the spot, pierced through the centre. The more unfortunate ones found the creep having caught them, their legs captured and their bodies unable to move as it flowed up and over them. Their struggles didn't last long, and by the end there was little more than a pulsating lump and the sound of crouching. Yet even that faded, the room filling with silence. Blessed silence. "H̷̻̕o̸͌ͅw̶̰̎.̷͈͘.̶͕̒.̷͔̈́ ̷̢͠I̸͖͝r̴̲͛o̵̻͘n̸̯̆i̷͉͆c̶̢͌.̴͍̍ ̵̳̂T̴͛ͅh̴͈͝e̸̫͠ ̵̢̎ḟ̶̹i̷̞̚r̴̲̍s̷͚̈́t̶̲͒ ̸̹̏t̶̡̒ȋ̶̦m̶͚̈́é̵͓ ̷̖̉î̶̝'̴̣́m̵͜͠ ̷̳͘ŏ̴ͅu̸̯͊t̴͙̔,̷̤̄ ̴̞́ȁ̶͓ń̶̨d̸͛͜ ̴̦̕ĭ̴͎t̵̬̑'̵̳̅ś̷͉ ̴̪͗i̸͎̕n̶͕̚ ̶̣͘o̷̮͝n̴̡̔e̵̮͝ ̷̤̈́o̵͙͂f̷̧̾ ̴̝̄ṭ̸̈h̷͍̓ë̶̟́i̷̬̍ṛ̶̛ ̴̗̀p̸̤̐ä̵̪́t̶̟̽h̶̼́e̵̼̓t̶̼̓ḭ̵͌c̶͔̄ ̸̮̈́l̴̙̄î̶̖t̴̻̎t̸̝̚l̸̰̈́é̷̳ ̶̣̚p̷̠̄r̴̞͝i̴̱̎s̸̠̓o̷̱͛n̸̲̓s̷̖͛.̴̨̓." The floating figure 'speaks', more a collection of shrieks and shudders in reality that somehow translated.

The figure that used to be Phakk twitches its head in the direction of Shakuhachi as he yelled at her, a growl coming from the mouths that filled the room, every single eye narrowing and focusing on him. Within an instant, the Dark would flicker and appear before Shaku, a hand coming up to try and cup his chin. Should contact be made, Shakuhachi would feel a sting from her very touch, as that same creep like effect would attempt to begin to worm its way into him, corrupting and warping the very structure of the Namekian. "H̸͚̒o̷̘̊w̷̝͌ ̶͚͌ḓ̶̃į̴̌s̵̛͍ģ̵̊u̵̹͂s̵̘̐ț̵͝î̴̝ň̵̥g̵̨̛.̶̝͑" The world around them seems to tremble, and one of the glowing symbols around them sputters and cracks in half. The moment that happens, everything seems to pulsate with power. 

Behind Shaku, a part of the wall of flesh would open, revealing an unmolested corridor. "R̸͙̊ṷ̸̈́ṋ̴̈,̸͆ͅ ̸̗̀l̴̮͛i̴̥͌t̵̟̑ẗ̵̪l̶̝͝ē̸͚ ̶̢̓m̸̮̿ô̵̺ř̶͍ṱ̴̃a̷̟̾l̵͍̉.̵͍̑ ̴̩́I̸͎͌ ̷̣̊ë̵͔́n̴͓̕j̶͔̀ó̷̙ẏ̴͉ ̵̗̿t̶͓̃ȟ̵̫e̵̜͗ ̷̧̚c̵͉̚h̷̡̔ḁ̸͋s̸̝̚ĕ̴͚.̴͈̕"

Phakknrrqfd attempts to use Corruption! (Phakk's magic is corruptive down to the very fabric of reality, warping both mind and body. With OOC permission, she is capable of warping those she touches, potentially warping one's morality or making possible edits to one's form.) This is a passive effect made from contact with this form.



All throughout the hall, the figure's form flickered in an out of existence. Materialising and dematerialising seemingly at will as its movements took on a jagged, almost jerky motion. As the hall had been opened, that same tide of flesh grew to cover it, following just behind Shakuhachi's form as he was marched. Mouths hissed and tendrils whipped in unabated, bloodthirsty glee. "I̴̪̊ẗ̷͚́ ̴̝͂f̶͉͂l̵̺͆a̷̺̋p̵̢͝s̵̹̍ ̴̣̒i̸̭̾ẗ̵̞́s̵̠͆ ̴̥̔l̶͖̍i̶̛̦t̸̢̉t̵̝͝l̸̯̀ĕ̸̜ ̴̡̉ḅ̵͠ḯ̴̟ť̸̞s̶͉̈́.̵̧̾ ̷̟̿H̸̢̍ọ̶͌w̷̳̓ ̸͔͘a̸̬͑n̴̰̚n̴̯̏ó̶̩ỵ̷͊i̶̹͠n̵̬̚g̵͖̾.̷̫͌" The being murmurs from just behind Shakuhachi as they walked. All along the corridor, more of those symbols seemed to light up, yet one by one were slowly overrun by the flesh and the impending darkness. Piece by piece picked apart, much like links in a chain, as they were shattered and the pair of them continued down the hallway.

A finger traced its way along the Namekian's back, easily slicing apart the fabric of his uniform and aiming to slash a light groove in his flesh, the wound beginning to bubble and shift to a purple hue similar to that of the flesh around them. "D̴͙̽i̶̠͐ș̶̐g̶͙̐u̶̯͝s̷̨̾ť̵̪ȋ̴̖n̸̖͌g̸̪͑ ̶̰̾à̴̟s̶͕͒ ̶̧̉u̷̠̽s̴̢̐u̵̱͘a̴̠̚l̶͇̍.̴͚̇ ̸͚͂B̴̬̓e̶̛̳a̷̙͐u̷͂ͅt̷̥̓ï̶͍f̷̫̿ṳ̶͋l̵̞͗ ̵͈͘s̷͈̀ö̸͖́o̷̺͑n̴̟͗.̴̳́ ̵͈̾W̵̭̌o̸͈̒r̴̮͑t̶̢͊h̷͍̏w̶͍̎h̸̗̕i̶͍͗l̴̰̕ę̵́.̵̙͆" The Dark warbles once more as images continued to shift through the air. A thousand races, a million beings. Screams, tears and roars of anguish and pain. Untold accounts of such suffering and damnation as to be expunged from knowledge altogether. A beautiful melody to the ears of Phakknrqffd. A giggle began, but stopped abruptly when they reached the end of the corridor, her form stilling as if expecting something, the flickering dying out as the dark seemed to hold its breath.
