“Median, average whatever. Five isn’t exactly a wowing number. And yea, they got their martial arts schools and whatnot, but I doubt any Earthling has a battle point over a thousand. Maybe… Maybe one or two,” Mayze shook his head. However, the revelation of a tourney did pique his interest, “Really? A tournament? I think I heard rumblings about that since I’ve been here. Interesting. That may attract some powerful folk from around the galaxy,” he held his chin in thought for a second, “Would make for an excellent recruiting opportunity. I’m guessing you’re going to attend as the Tuffle representative,” There was no way she wouldn’t attend and he knew it.
He held an interested look when she spoke of the Sadalan culture. A legal system, huh? Truth be told, despite being born in a noble- well, sorta noble, household, he wasn’t educated much on saiyan history. His education had been more focused… on military matters.
“You probably know more about early saiyan history than I do,” he honestly said, “Wine, well,” he smiled, “Have any sapient beings not discovered some form of alcohol? Where there is society, there is beer. Ha!” he finished with a little laugh.
He listened to the rest of what she had to say regarding his mercenary status, frowning when she argued his occupation went against the notion of ‘might makes right’. He felt she misunderstood, and he voiced that, “Look, might, power, whatever, let us say they’re the same thing. Power comes in many different forms. Saiyans generally think strength equals power, which yea it does, and in this galaxy it is likely the most important form, But,” he mirrored Cheri, also pausing for dramatic effect, “Money is power too. The earthlings know this, you tuffles know this,” he shook his head and sighed, feeling as if he wasn’t being clear, “Look, the bottomline is people with power all across the galaxy decide the rules. ‘They’ decide what is right, and what is wrong. So, might, or power if you will, makes right.” he felt Cheri would disagree. A difference in philosophy he supposed.
He quirked an eyebrow when she mentioned terraforming Sadala. Is she for real? He contemplated for what felt like a long minute. He stared her in the eye, “You hope, but do you know? Is it possible? Can Sadala really be restored? Or is this just a far fetched idea?”
