A history as old as time itself: Unsuspecting mortals —in this case, Earthlings— had been solicited by so-called godly entities for help. Erys scoffed at the notion, finding it absolutely deplorable that beings who claimed divinity had to beseech measly Earthling scientists to lock down a threat that even their "godly powers" wasn't able to sunder. "AH! This ALSO doesn't surprise me at all, dear Saxon: Shinjins and Onis are nothing more than the impotent bureaucrats of the Evertérium. Aside from stamping official documents, there is very little they're good at. Just think about how advanced your technology is compared to the Earthlings'; it is like night and day. Yet, whatever the inhabitants of this planet had to offer was supposedly enough to seal majin Mew." The alkaguíria withdrew her katana, her job at busting the seal preventing ethereal travel through the walls now done.
"It just goes to show how little these immortals can actually do! They couldn't hold you in the afterlife, and nor could they with majin Mew." Maxsuz did an excellent job at sowing the seeds of hate toward the natives of the Otherworld in Erys' mind; she seemed to despise them with a deep, vitriolic sentiment. Just when she felt like she was about to break in another spiel about how insignificant the false divinities were, Yakone drew her attention by revealing a hidden door behind a bookshelf. "Excellent! Your abilities are quite useful, Yakone; we should consider teaming up more often~" Even though she had yet to decapitate anyone, this little adventure was far from boring. Indeed, it was akin to solving a puzzle with each interconnected piece snapping together into a satisfying whole. They had yet to truly decipher the mystery behind this lab, of course, but it was only a matter of time until majin Mew was freed...
All they had to hope for now was that the primordial beast would listen to reason.
