The all encompassing deafening silence fell upon him, nothing had mattered in that moment he felt his consciousness fade. He'd never experienced this feeling, using all his mana had caused him to crash harshly. Showing off had drained him of everything, and when he had lost consciousness so did Parasitix. Both of them lay dormant, as they sprawled out into the lawn. There was still a waking feeling, but it only grasped at Rhuba's senses as he could still feel everything outside of him.
Pom came into view in this mind prison he found himself in, the voice of Pom reaching him from outside, only Rhuba had no idea where he was, or that anything had even happened. "What happened?" The vision of Pom faded briefly, only to return once more. "Wait, what's going on?" He asked, his voice echoed in the endless silence that was his recent prison. Dark corridors extended in every direction, in the middle of where he stod there was a singular light from an unknown source above shining down on him. Rhuba wafted his hand, no magic, no ki. "What happened? Parasitix?" He asked, no response from Parasitix either. The entire corridors began to shake and shift, and the entire dark corridors lit up in a calming blueish green mix of color, and he felt a slight calm shift over him for another unknown reason.
The feeling of calm eventually washed away, only for the dark corridors to return to their bleak atmosphere. Rhuba peaked down each corridor, as he got closer to each opening he could hear cries and screams. Rhuba felt an aversion from entering these corridors, and only now noticed that the light above was following his form exactly. Extending out his hand injto the corrido, the light extended out with it, further lighting up a few feet in front of him as well. "Is this some kind of magic?" Rhuba questioned to himself as he slammed on the ground with his legs crossed, as he thought hard about where he was.
"What was I doing last...?" He asked himself, only to feel the ground rumble again and he felt the calming greenish blue color wash over him again, as well as lighting up all the corridors, the screaming he had heard briefly turned into a cacophony of happy sounds instead, children laughing, mothers telling their children they are loved. "Huh..." Rhuba began leaning away from the corridor that he could hear, the sounds stopping immediately upon leaving a certain distance. Pom appeared in front of him once more, a vision, almost like they were saying something, but nothing escaped their lips, not even a muffled sound. "Pom?" Rhuba questioned, remembering the events of the day as if he had just experienced it again.
"Wait, I was making flowers... but where is this?" The question lingered still, no answer was reached during his last epiphany. Rhuba felt a pulse, a deep hunger washed over him, something he's felt before. When was the last time he had eaten? Parasitix still wasn't communicating with him, but he could still feel it somehow. Parasitix had woken up, but realized that Rhuba was still unconscious. Using this moment, it kept him in this state and pushed him further into his own mind. Slowly, it crept out of Rhuba's foot and while attached as a shadow, slid itself off the side and unto the floor. Staying in the shadows, it slipped itself unto the floor and began to move toward Pom.
"Fuck it." Rhuba stood up, and turned down the dark corridor where he had heard screams and crying from. Pushing past his instincts, he walked into the corridor. The light that once had given him sight immediately shut off, causing all shapes in his view to disappear, closing and opening his eyes changed nothing. The crying became louder, as he came to a clearing his vision became encompassed with a memory. The daughter of the diner owner, Rhuba hadn't been able to control Parasitix and it was going on a rampage. Parasitix was so useful, he didn't want to kill it so he just let it continue. The vision pulled back, showing Rhuba's uncaring expression moments before allowing Parastix to drain the woman's energy until she stopped moving. "STOP!" Rhuba said, closing his eyes to no avail, the scene just replayed from the start, as if someone had just rewound the tape and started over.
Perhaps it was his own guilt, something he himself didn't even know he felt, perhaps this was just because of the past few days, Rhuba couldn't grasp it, but the memory brought him to his knees as he felt the emotions running through the young woman's head as she stopped existing. Fear, pure fear. When was the last time Rhuba felt that? Another sensation came in, one that he had felt before but never realized it. He could remember her fearing for her father, the diner owner. That's what made him reel back in Parasitix, that's what made him go to his diner every day, why he pays him such an extraordinary amount of money for just existing.
"No more..." Rhuba spoke weakly in his mind and in reality simultaneously as his eyes jolted open and he quickly sat up in the bed. Parasitix had made it to the chair out of sight, and was inches away from touching Pom before receding back into Rhuba before he noticed what Parasitix had been doing. Rhuba pulled out a capsule and stood up, looking at Pom he frowned. "Tomorrow, I'll teach you..." Rhuba shakily took a step forward, feeling Parasitix yearning for energy. "I forgot to eat today... so I guess I passed out from hunger..." Rhuba's voice came out weakly, as he stumbled into the nearby door, using the frame to lean on for a moment. Uncaring that he was leaving his favorite hoodie, he knew he had to get away from Pom. "I'll have you flying in no time, promise." Rhuba wouldn't allow Pom to help him, as he moved to the front door, "Tomorrow, Pom." Rhuba's voice escaped weakly once more as he used both hands to open the door.
Looking back at Pom behind him, he smiled, "Thank you for taking care of me." Rhuba hadn't thanked anyone as genuine as he just did, only now realizing what he had just witnessed in his own mind as he lay unconscious. "Your color is beautiful and warm." Something unknown to Pom, but very aware to Rhuba. He had realized that the calming color and feeling was from Pom, he had carried him to bed and with each time he had touched him, he could feel him while he was out cold. The moment he turned away from Pom, the smiled retreated and an unusual depressing scowl took it's place. Rhuba still had enough ki, so before Pom could acknowledge what he said he took off in flight back to his manor, leaving his front door wide open. The moment he was alone, he would use his capsule to bring out a feast of Earthling food to feed Parasitix calories as energy to calm him.
