An encounter with Black Lightning

Lotuce watched the man and listened intently as he spoke with a bit of exasperation as he explained things to Lotuce again. It was not long however, before he explained that he was about to leave and that his being a Magician was a full time job. Lotuce nodded a bit as he also explained that at this point whether he used magic or not was entirely in Lotuce’s hands. He knew that meant that he would be on his own for now, that the man had shown him and given him his hint on how to use magic so at this point it was all up to Lotuce himself.

The man then stated that he should be careful, that he knew going into situations full of nothing but piss and vinegar was seemingly Lotuce’s main thing but that he should be careful nonetheless since being alive was much more preferable to being dead. Lotuce understood that idea all too well and nodded, watching as the man signed it with a bit of a flourish and in a fancy cursive script. Though, Lotuce noted that the man never actually signed it physically but instead those letters appeared through magic on the contract.

Lotuce had nothing else to say and simply shook his head, planning to practice the use of magic on his own since he already had the basic understanding of it supposedly. With a sigh Lotuce extended his hand to be polite a little while longer. “No, no questions today as it seems you’re rather…eager to leave, and even if I did ask about why you were seemingly so eager to leave I doubt you’d tell me so: no, no questions.” Lotuce then waited for the man to respond or shake his hand or whatever he intended and then leave the area.
