He sighed.
When Pom had imagined his grand getaway, it was amazing. Full of adrenaline. The most exciting moment of his boring, uninteresting life. He was meant to be in the arms of his beloved, sailing far away from here, never to be seen again. And he’d never have to worry about anything other than his family; he’d always imagined having a few little ones running around. It was supposed to happen, but everything went down the drain when it came to this stupid job.
“I guess people like us aren’t meant to be happy here,” He muttered to himself, shaking his head and huffing as he walked. He then looked up, scanning over the ships parked in the port. There were plenty to choose from. And he knew stealing was a dangerous thing to do, especially if he were to steal a higher end, more important ship. It wasn’t like he needed something like that — he was traveling alone, with nothing. With nobody.
But —
Nothing could compare to stealing an expensive ship from one of the largest empires in the galaxy, would it? It would be leaving this place in a blaze of glory, giving importance to the otherwise unknown, uncared for Arcosian grunt.
..Yes, it seems tantalizing, but it’s far too much work. To be a wanted fugitive, running, hunted down at every corner. That’s the complete opposite of what he wanted out of this; doing something as stupid as that would ensure that he would never live peacefully, even if he tried. So, instead, he went for the easiest option.
Pom walked along the attack pods, keeping his surroundings in mind. He stopped in front of one, and, inconspicuously, took a glance around, before kneeling in front of one of the pod’s control panels, fiddling with it to allow him inside.
