APPEARANCE:
A Najemi of relative strength to the rest of her people, standing at an average 5'4" in height and lacking the obtuse level of muscular structure some of the others of her people have, she appears more in line with other humanoid species across the galaxy. Her tanned skin is adorned with beautiful butterfly shaped tattoos across her face, arms, and chest in line with her lineage from a tattooed clan. Her black hair pulled back into a ponytail the vast majority of the time, and her clothes being more reserved than that of her fiancé. A tight black battle suit adorned with her clan's emblem, as well as a brown scarf around her neck and waist, and foot wrappings to cover her feet. She is a stark contrast between herself and Ghal.
BACKGROUND: Born on Payanor long after the takeover by the Najem against the founders, Nihiya was born to the lower elite class clan of the Black Mamba Khatal named the Sand Vipers clan. Their genetic marker, that which gave them the right to call themselves elite, was shaped like butterflies across the her skin, it's faint red glow when activated obvious to those who met the clan leaders. Nihiya was the daughter of the head of the Sand Viper clan, being born and raised with her best friend and closest companion Ghalban al-Mamba, the son of the head of the Black Mamba Khatal's strongest clan, the al-Rajal Khopel. As she grew up, unlike the men of her house she was not permitted to learn the ways of combat in the same way the others had. She practiced alone, or in private with her dearest friend Ghalban as he showed her everything that he learned that day in his practice. While she never mastered the sword as well as he did, she took to their martial arts extremely well, and when it came time for Ghalban to be sent to the Cemetery World to wager his life for greatness, she feared he would not return.
Much to her delight, he was not only victorious in his survival against the other contestants, but the ultimate victor having slain every opponent before him. She watched amazed from the sidelines as he was awarded the highest honor a teenager in their culture could receive, as well as the option to pick his bride. She had hoped if he survived, they could have taken to each other the natural way, her secretly showing him how much she actually cared for him, and she feared he would go after a daughter of a more illustrious clan or Khatal. Instead, against all odds, he chose her to be his bride and asked her to follow him to the ends of the galaxy so they could cement their legacy as the pride of Payanor.
Accepting the offer given to her with glee, she willingly left her home world to travel the galaxy with her to-be husband, excited for what lied ahead for them in the future. Their journeys finally taking them to the hotbed of the galaxy, to Earth itself, so they could start their legacy and plan for their future together.

Utility Technique | Najemi Survival
Due to the nature of the hostile environment on Payanor, the Najemi have become extremely durable physically to accomodate the insanely high or low temperatures of the days and nights, as well as the severely low or lacking in oxygen. This resulted in their lungs being capable of surviving without breath for hours at a time through overcollection during the times they can breath, as well as nearly limitless amounts of time they can be exposed to extreme heat or cold without protective clothing without any adverse effects. In extreme cases, they can survive the vacuum of space for short periods of time, and being frozen alive or burned severely without any damage to their skin.
Utility Technique | Scent of the Sand Viper
A trick of the trade for her clan, the Sand Vipers taught Nihiya how to determine people's connections to mystical arts through a special ability of their genetic marker. When focusing on an enemy, she can quantify in her mind a gauge, and when activing her marker, she can see precisely how close or far away on the gauge the other person is compared to herself and Ghal. Using this, she can figure out exactly how strong someone is.
