Meara was trying her hardest to help her, Laezi knew that... but she was just so FRUSTRATED! She stared down at the bread she had just made (and is now munching on), her fingers digging into the crust and nearly ripping out chunks! WHAT was wrong with her...? Why couldn't she do it again!? HOW did she do it in the first place? Meara would attempt to explain this, commenting that some people's magic flowed around like blood while others had a infinite well of it in their bellies! These kinds of metaphors bounced off Laezi's head like thrown wiffle balls, her turning to look up at the woman with irritation!
"What does that even meeeeeeeean?" Laezi whined with a pitiful drawl. "Blood is blood! Stomachs get full! I don't understand!" Laezi raised up her foot to STOMP again, saw her footprint in the tile, remembered... then caught herself and lowered it back down. She simply turned away, face stuffed in bread, and stomped out of the ice-cream shop. No doubt the ice-cream guy would've been happy to see her go had he been all there to see it.
Laezi didn't go too far outside the shop. In fact, she didn't really leave the property at all! She merely moved outside, slumped up against the shop's outside wall, and slowly slipped down into a sitting position against it. The arm holding her doll pulled her knees up to her armored chest, the other practically stuffing the bread into her gnashing jaws! For her, it was like the door to a new world had been opened just a crack for her... only to get SLAMMED on her fingers when she tried to open it a little wider! Laezi felt cheated- NO! WORSE THAN CHEATED! She felt WRONGED, somehow, and she didn't know who to blame for it! Meara? No, she was nice! She gave her this cool toy and told her about magic stuff! Her friends? They had just then taken an interest in her when she used magic so... why would they suddenly stop her?
The ice-cream man? Laezi's tearful eyes narrowed at that idea. He had been mean from the start... He didn't give her ice-cream, he kicked her to the back of the line, he protested her ONE use of magic... Her brow furrowed as she took a big bite of crusty bread. Maybe it was him all along!
As Laezi's blood boiled in her veins, having FINALLY found someone to focus her anger upon, the Majin did not notice how the now half-loaf of bread was starting to glow. Little flickers of lightning flashed across the surface, and inside her cheeks before...
*POOF!*
CRNCH! CRNCH! CRNCH!
As Laezi's jaws moved, the sound of muffled grinding plastic, springs and shredding napkins reverberated out from the Majin, the loaf she held having been transmuted BACK to it's original form of a napkin-holder thing! Laezi glowered over it, her mind affixed too intensely to the ice-cream guy back inside to notice... she was now eating plastic!
