Kim's figure stood small compared to the other mercenaries who found themselves in the waiting room. Numerous other companies and individuals standing around were speaking to one another about their power, their accomplishments, and other achievements they felt proved they deserved this contract. Kim couldn't care less about the others. All she needed was cash, and quick. She concealed her identity for this one, at least until the heat blows over from possible agents who may recognize her. Her Ki was obscured completely right now, her signature feeling like a void of emptiness to those who would try and feel for her power level, and her body was covered by a heavy full-length raincoat draging on the floor to prevent people from seeing her. Finally, as she struggled to handle the overpowering level of Hutong energy inside her, she couldn't control her hair and eyes from turning lavender under the coat, causing her to partially glow from the darkness she hid under.
She heard about this opportunity through a mutual contact. This Valentine, whoever they were, was looking for people with a fortitude for black ops operations and experience in prior service. Something Kim was more than capable of providing. Her entire early career was layers of thefts, assassinations, and covert conflict resolution. This would be a typical work day for her.

When it was her time to do her interview, Kim made her way through the door into the interviewers room, looking around partially before removing the hood of her coat to expose the glowing pinkish hair and eyes of the Hutong user. The woman would stand before the desk where the supposed Valentine was, watching patiently before announcing herself.

"Hello Madam. I am Lieutenant Commander Kimono Lamellar, I was recommended to come here by Colonel Brukhi." She'd state standing at attention making a salute towards the doctor. "1st Covert Operations Company, Operational Commander and prior Naval Commander. I served top of my class in the 1009 Enhanced Humans Soldier's Program and was the only accepted one my year for the Earth's magically adept humans committee." Kim would speak of her accomplishments to the individual, hoping that maybe it would go into her skills. "Doing these types of contracts is my bread and butter."

As the woman before Kim would see the feed on the drone that alerted her to something, she would continue to follow this Dr. Valentine as they left the room. As Kim would trail behind this mysterious client, hoping to gleam some sort of information as to exactly what she was being hired to do. She knew the job was hiring for generic mercenary work, however there's only so much information she can be left without before it impedes the mission. Her eyes leered around as they moved, thoughts wondering how many, if any, other mercenaries had been hired for this mission. Was it a solo job? Was she going to have to work with a team? Only time could tell, but as each step was taken she was getting antsy.

"So, at the risk of seeming ill-informed, what precisely is the SITREP on this" The Ex-Soldier requested of the doctor as they walked, Kim raising the hood back up to cover her glowing hair, the ethereal shine of the lavender light from it's shade obscuring her visage. "What exactly is it you need me to do. Is this a snatch-and-grab job? Am I assassinating someone? I need more intel before we formulate what I'm doing. I know it has something to do with item retrieval, but to what degree. I'm assuming the think you need taken is in someone else's possession and you can't exactly purchase the item in question, so is this a more... covert operation, or do you want me to leave no witnesses." As she'd finish this question, a thin smile crawled across her face at the thought. The taste of blood in her mouth once again at the idea of another bloodbath. Chances were nill that she would get the chance, but the woman could hope.

"Speaking of, exactly how 'legal' is this excursion. I don't care to go against the accords and law but I need to know before I end up accidentally killing government agents or law enforcement trying to accomplish the mission."

As the two would make it to the warehouse and Dr. Valentine gave Kim the rundown on the situation, she was still a little lost regarding the exacts of the mission but chose to drop the subject for the time being and focus on the details she did have and the mission. Anything for a paycheck was what she needed, and she was VERY desperate for a paycheck at the moment.
"So, let me get this straight. A tuffle, one of those short people from Plant, is from some 'Lost Sector' place and he's doing experiments on people to... make them bigger?" She'd question as she began to sleuth around the warehouse with Valentine, looking around for any hints or clues as to where the culprits could have gone. "I'd understand the height thing since Tuffles are notoriously short, but the whole Destron gas production feels like the more pressing matter of the two." She'd laugh to herself, her eyes slowly moving from the area scanning for clues to instead staring directly up at the knights statue imposingly looking down on the two below.

She stared into its eyes for a moment, something compelling her to do so, before she'd look back to Valentine with an exasperated breath. "Any luck? This creepy statue is... well... creeping me the hell out." Kim would announce while turning her head around to look at the rest of the warehouse. It's insides looked generic, random, the sort of assortment you'd find anywhere. The only things that seemed to be really out of place for her was the gigantic statue itself. "I figured we would smell the bodies by now, let alone see them, but I'm not able to smell anything. Are we sure they're actually dead and not unconscious somewhere in here? Or potentially vaporized?" She'd ask as she couldn't take her eyes off of the great machination before her. "It doesn't seem right... Something just don't feel right in here."

Witnessing the large statue come to life and throw the doctor to the side, Kim barely had time to brace for impact as the sword would come down onto her. A great impact would hit the floor, the cement of the building cracking as the dust would clear to show Kimono standing below the stopped stone blade, her hardened Hutong Mist forming a thin purple barrier above her head. Her feet would dig out of the dust and cement, only for the woman to disappear from view.

Kim would reappear above and behind the great knight statue, her Hutong reforming around her arms in the shape of two long bladed whips. The only thing left behind from her teleportation was her coat in the original spot being sliced in half by the sword as it fell to the floor digging into the concave hole in the floor. She would raise the lavender whips high in the air before slamming them down towards the large statue, intending on cleaving the stone being in half much like it tried to do to her. The hissing of the burning Hutong Mist literally turning the water in the air into steam as she channeled every inch of her magical power into the great mist.

"Valentine, what the hell is going on here?" Kim would demand as her glowing pink visage would teleport again closer to the other humanoid, her body bracing for further combat regardless of how her other attack went. "Just what kind of person has literal stone guardians protecting their crime scenes."

Listening to the professional speak of the alien threat and his machinations was odd to the soldier. Kim had never thought the universe was littered with people doing the weirdest of experiments to try and attain some semblance of control. Stone guardians? It was a different take for sure, and she was almost taken by surprise had she not been protected by the Hutong. "Every time I learn a little more about Planet Plant, the less I want to visit the place again..." She would remark to herself as she drew back her Hutong whips, the slithering snake-like appendages crawling up and down her arms and shoulders waiting for another fight. Kim could see the remaining stone guardian back down for a moment, giving them the chance to look for the secret hatch the doctor believed was there. With luck, Valentine found the hatch, staring down into it.

"Well, this isn't the first time I've jumped into a random hole. Let's hope there's nothing down there too dangerous" Kim would say aloud, stepping into the hatch's main gate and dropping down the shaft towards whatever lay ahead for her. Should she land on a surface, her body would recoil from the impact with the ground, the Hutong Mist immediately expelling around her to illuminate the nearby area with a faint purple glow, the smell of flowers in the air as a result of the chemical agent.

"Let's find this bastard then."

The sight of the android was a surprise to Kim as well, only to watch the thing turn to dust from the blast from Valentine. Kim figured from the fight earlier that Valentine was an enhanced human, not everyone could manipulate Ki as well as she did here, but the quickness of the blast was staggering. The silent alarm set off by the metal man would likely have set off nearby beings as well, and judging from Valentine's own mention to stay on her toes, Kim took a combative step back, monitoring around the two.

She felt out with her magic, feeling for Ki or magical signatures nearby but felt reverb back as if something was there, but she couldn't tell exactly what it was they were or how powerful they were. This distraction caught the better of her, as right as she went to open her eyes again she was once more surprised by the sudden appearance of a mechanical fist flying directly at her. One hook to her stomach would find it's mark, knocking the woman from the ground dispersing her Hutong Limbs into the air around them as latent mist, while the second hook to the side of her face threw the soldier's body multiple feet away into a nearby wall denting in the material of the wall. The shock of the hit disoriented Kimono while she twisted her aching neck to look at the android that hit her, vaguely shaped like an Earthling with exposed mechanical extremities.

"Oh you fucked up now" She would spit out blood in anger, the mist around her body forming into two large arms gripping the wall and pulling Kimono out and hovering above the ground, her body like a spider's hanging from the ceiling. The purple mist around her beginning to boil like water, steam filling the area. "I'll kill every last one of you, and then that bastard that made you".

Slashing out at the other android that assaulted her with her Hutong whips, Kim severed it's upper half from it's lower body in one quick motion, the next ramming her fist through the being's head ending it's existence immediately with a spray of crimson vitals and oil across the walls. This also seemed to coincide with Valentine's successes as well, the tunnel ripping open from their attack to expose the deeper, more intense base below they seemed to be looking for. Interesting, they were able to find it so efficiently. Good.
What took Kim by surprise again, though, was Valentine shifting from the visage of a woman to being... Yangcong?!?! Kimono recognized his face from their last meeting, her face twisting into one of sheer confusion as she continued to hang from the ceiling, the two large purple magical arms gripping the concrete moving forward as she studied further, determining that it was, in fact, Yangcong.

"Y-Yangcong? What the hell are you doing here? Were you Valentine?" Kim would ask as the two warriors clashed before her. It was clear that she had been fooled initially, though it wasn't like it mattered much now. They found their target and it was time to complete the mission. She could ask questions later. "You know what? Fuck it, let's focus on that guy. I think it's time we torture this bastard, I'm done with his stupid creations." She'd yell out of anger, rushing forward herself at the other being. Launching herself above the two, Kim's mist arms would fade and transform into two Hutong legs below her, hoping to land behind Dr. Bero, her hand reaching out to summon her magical summoning circle and retrieving her shotgun, aiming at Bero and pulling the trigger to fire off a magical buckshot shell at the guy. "It's time you die, so sit back and take it like a man."
