Vale watched on as Gandigan tried to reason with the ghostly Namekians fighting him. Of course, they would not listen to reason, why would they? They had already been stripped of any free will, now only hollow shells of their former selves. Seeing this brought much satisfaction to the Shinjin who would never dare fight the king of the Mazoku. Why would he? He was not stupid nor pretentious enough to think he could win. Besides, it was much more fun to witness this spectacle than dirty himself further.
“I have no interest in fighting you, but…as strong as you are, these Namekians should be absolutely no match for you…What’s wrong? Are you hesitating?”
Vale scratched his chin, watching on curiously as Gandigan tried fending them off.
“I wonder, is this what they call Namekian instinct? To find me out with only vague legends and stories is quite the feat. Especially when that very knowledge has never been made public. I suppose that means I can’t go on hiding my presence much further. Sooner or later, it was going to be inevitable, especially with my dear brothers going on with their lives, but I did enjoy the calmness of anonymity.”
He clapped his hands, teleporting everyone present in a realm of pitch black, seemingly infinite with no end in sight, no edges, no roof or floor. As if they were standing on solid nothingness.
“I’ll have to take my leave. I have urgent business to attend to. I would have preferred a different ending for our relationship, I truly do. Those sights you promised me, I wish I could have seen them by your side. But alas, it seems we are bound to clash. Disappointing, really.”
Before leaving, he left Gandigan with a final warning.
“If you manage to beat them, you will be able to find your way out of here. It’s not that hard…but do you have what it takes? Keep on entertaining me, your highness.”
He just like that, he left.
