New Vedette (CONQUEST)

Under any normal circumstance, Jackie would be proud to take these hits from someone she'd consider a close friend. Someone who she trained with for so long and saw as something of a former pupil turned peer as a guardian of Earth. But here, there was nothing but callous frustration. Her frustration clouded her judgment as she quickly grew tired of being forced back as she was. It was part of the reason she fought to desperately get a little distance from him.

She'd need to be a bit craftier in how she approached this one. He was by far more technical than the other super-saiyan.

"Hnnng....!"
What she got from Russ was a lot more of the same; Excuses in her mind. It was perhaps inconceivable that others could mess just as badly as her in the past,or worse. She refused to consider that even with all of them around, they struggled with Lottus and MARROW of all people. "Nasu... Zhalla and Nero... Any one of them could have made sure the job was finished. But I guess I'll just have to live with the fact he was just frolicking around, killing a subordinate right in front of me and then almost killing me! Have to gloss over the idea that maybe leaving him as he was endangered anyone incapable of fighting back!" She barked back at him, waving an angry hand aside as she bolstered her own angry and rage-filled words against Russ's reasoning. A reasoning that she agreed with, to a point.

Bracing herself, she had to come at this from a more... unconventional method if she wanted to hit him without getting into a tussle. The two dark energy blasts heading her way from a sudden short-snap double kick was brought up against a sudden jolt of energy as she extended her fists out forward. Leaning into a horizontal flight and tried to smash through the harmful ki with a sudden surge of orange ki around her. Both blasts would land their mark and throw up a plume of dark smoke. Smoke soon broke up at the front as Jackie flew out in this same arrangement. Rather than square up and throw punches, she'd aim to ram her fists into Russ from the side, trying to catch him under the arm, and swiftly pull away. In this superman-style flight, the hit-and-run technique would work to offset her lack of striking speed.

"SESAME?!"
She'd zip away some distance again, maintaining the superman flight to keep on her 'toes' so to speak. How much of this were her emotions talking and what she truly thought should be something to take into consideration. Jackie scoffed at the mention of Sesame being a prime example of what to do or how to handle these sorts of powerful threats that have outground the societies around them. "Sesame was an anomaly, and was executed anyway! He was given chances, plenty of them! I gave a couple of those chances myself when I first stumbled upon him! It's a matter of how many times must we show compassion for the wicked and cruel. How many times must we subject good and honest people to the evils we show 'compassion' far beyond their due date! This was not the first time this Lottus was even a threat to so many people."

The other two would catch a glimpse of her zipping close by, never really engaging or stopping next to them but giving them a little monitoring. Physically, they didn't seem to be willing to intervene in the matter. They've said as much, for now.

Jackie continued on her soaring path around, flying to avoid a direct confrontation after landing her drive-by. Russ was taken aback by her angry words and unorthodox attack, long enough to catch him flat-footed. For the moment, fleeting as it was, she'd have the momentum to possibly push this. Again, as the Saiyan hung back and observed for a moment in silence, the kami trained her sights again to make a running punch at him. The subtle movement of floating rubble turned into a projectile was caught on quickly by the perceptive earthling before she could make a break for this, however.

"HYAAAAAH!"
Distracted by the piece of rubble she'd break her way into, reeling back a punch to drill a hole large enough for her, Jackie would peel away from the discarded projectile just in time to feel the true presentation behind her. The moment she took to barrel through the large chunk of telekinetic matter was long enough for her movements to appear sluggish to the Saiyan. Enough to just warp past her and put feet to the back of her skull. Her flaming hair whips as she is kicked with force downwards into another piece of rubble. Throwing up more hanging rubble would form new rings where the Lookout once floated properly.

"You... You did... what? Who? Tch..."
Jackie's normally booming voice shushed as those painful eyes popped open to look to the blue sky above. She lay there for a moment, slowly collecting herself as the haze of the drop kick mixed with her supernatural rays of light to blind her. Russ made it clear he regretted the action he took in his own way. "It's not like that. I do not...! The only one I've ever cared to kill was... the VERY FEW like him!" She struggled, but eventually flipped herself over onto her stomach.

"Damn... it!"
Face full of chunky ancient tiles, the fiery lady growled and pulled herself into a kneel. A ragged sigh pushes past her busted-up lip. A bruised cheek twitches as she looks back up at Russ. That pain and rage are still very present on her face, bundled with a newfound frustration. One of the spectators to the side finally spoke up. The Saibaman, whom she only had the faintest recollection of. Still, he wasn't one of the first to try talking her down like this. Assumptions of assumptions aside, Jackie could only slam a fist down into her lone, floating piece of the lookout.

"MY RAGE IS NOT MEANT FOR YOU. ANY OF YOU."
She roared, stamping up her feet. "I will not be talked down to like I am nothing but a blood-knuckled murderer who delights in the raining of blood. Nobody mourns the planet-busting psychopaths. Whatever cycles of violence come up from whatever few I'd take, as necessary, will be made up for by the MANY, MANY cycles I prevent. The helpless who have to sit back and watch, nay, hear of their entire world fading into NOTHINGNESS before their very eyes. Friends, Family, entire worlds, gone."
Her pained rambling came from something much sadder than her apparent rage on the surface. Personal experience, and a very familiar framing for someone like Russ. Having heard her background and all, he'd know exactly what this lead from. Saiba probably wasn't getting her to calm down as easily as he wanted to even as the conversation burned again, halting the fight momentarily.

"What good is justice so clean? That we can't dirty our own hands and leave those unable to fight back at the mercy of whatever psychopath decided to strike at them again! Jails and laws can't hold people like us accountable, are we meant to watch in pity?" There was a moment's pause where that flame on her head billowed and grew in size for a second; A confident warmth blowing from her. Unlike the kindling of flame, it was more akin to an unsolicited hug; One that wove tightly into the soul. "Because it is NOT US making little vengeful monsters. It's not US making good people turn bad from loss. It's THEM! I am not going to pretend to accept otherwise. Do you feel it now? My spirit, lit aflame. I've ignored for too long the many souls snuffed out that linger on within me. Burning as the fuel for my everlasting rage. Their anger rests in me, the Girl Who Lived."
In the sun, the cuts and bruises over her body begin to rapidly heal with the said warmth and ranting. Closing up scarless as she spoke. That spark of orange ki ignites around her as she pauses in this process, lifting a hand to her heart.

"I will rest once I satisfy them all, and many want assurance! Grant it on me with this place first, then we can 'calm down'."

Marrow. Another poor bastard caught in something she couldn't get herself out of, like Azuki before her. Like many who hadn't had their stories known to her. Had it been different that night, Jackie herself might have joined that choir of angry spirits swelling in her. Lost and forgotten. They were lucky to even have anyone remember their tragedies. The mentioning of her name made her blood boil with that same fervor. This isn't something any of them would want in the end.

"I am sorry it came to that. A parasite that can't be touched is just as dangerous as the forward threats that have raw power. I know the feeling all too well. You did what you could at the time."
Reassured in her own words, she still held Russ in that high standard she held herself. Some things just couldn't be avoided... The kami clenched her fists and turned to Saibaban and Xiaolan. The latter of which finally bulked up the courage to approach her in this state. Hearing what the likes of Nero did to help the well-dressed man better himself. He was given those chances and was allowed to be stripped down by them. To be the voice of reason here, illuminated the core issue behind this blinding rage.

In pursuit of waging war with the vilest of the universe, that burning soul made it hard to connect and reconcile with the very people she wanted to help. Claimed by a rage so narrowminded... She couldn't fully suppress her emotions here, but Jackie's loud demeanor remained shifted. Her piercing gaze every bit looking into people she gave attention to. But the rallying boom of her voice, the loud declarations. They were not necessary. The Saiyan had backed down and the others seemed to relinquish to her wishes after some raving.

"The willingness to stand up to me like this, as a complete stranger, shows me all I need to know. Being able to stick your neck out just to get your point across. Alright. I can admit when someone has made a good call. Nero is indeed the best of us and has a good eye and head for getting people to see it a different way."
The more she seemed to genuinely calm down, the slower the waves of flame started rolling off her hair. That overwhelming warm presence was reeled back as she gripped her jacket. She knew the moment she admitted that the rage was not sustainable she'd lose her grip on that power it gave her. She needed her forward goal. "We will see about the storm calming when we build this place anew. I wish to reimagine it for them. My family and those who were forgotten. Those that were swallowed in obscurity by our universe. The magic of the kami and my own lost magic, intertwined. As for help... Xiaolan-"

It wasn't the best time to be offering training, especially when she needed to be at grasp with her destination. She gave the fox man a cursory look.

"Twice, I had lashed out at you. If I was going to smack you around for just being associated at the time you would not be standing right here, right now. As for the corruption underneath and the criminal lords that hide, such as him, I can't say I didn't have thoughts to end him as he made alternatives difficult. Entrenched with the law and exceedingly strong himself, enough to break physical binds. Maybe with time it'd be appropriate to pursue that again."
She had a few people to apologize to afterward... But future Jackie would be handling that. "But for now, what I want you and the rest of us to do is work this Lookout. My sun monk magic is potent with this anger backing me, extra hands never hurt. Or extra eyes. Gather some of the loose pieces you can. I'll be incorporating them.-" She pauses and lifts herself off the piece of rubble she was smacked down into. Floating to meet Russ at a level in a hover.

"Then we can talk. After. About her, Russ. And about teaching anyone who is free to it, as you seem so adamant Xioalan."
Jackie didn't truly need anyone to help her really make this happen. But it made this easier if they felt involved in some way. Nobody here was her enemy after all.
