For a moment there, Chomei held his breath, He could feel the Majin tense—Hear his anger clearly through his voice. Gods, not again, He groaned, hoping to avoid a repeat of a few days ago. He didnt try to justify himself; He felt he'd brought up reasonable points. Sure, security and defense was the big priority, but that wouldn't be his whole job. After a few deep breaths, Megis clarified himself. It worried Chomei that his little pink friend angered so easily. Though, it'd probably make for a humorous, or disastrous first couple of debates with Derry.
Everything he said seemed sensible enough. At least to his ears. Though he had a gnawing feeling that something was off. For the moment, he waved those feelings aside. Whatever was bugging him, he'd eventually find out. If it mattered anyway. Turning his attention back to the Majin, he seemed to be wrapping up. He watched carefully, confused as the man began to yawn. Then, inexplicably, he announced that he was going to nap on his front porch, and plopped into the grass. Chomei stood there for a few seconds before he fully processed that
"Wuh... Megis?" He asked silently, nudging him with the side of his boot. What a strange guy... He decided, carefully scooping the creature into his arms. No use leaving him outside, after all. With that, he brought in the slumbering warrior, dropping him in the corner atop one of his weighted clothes piles. He stared after him for a few moments, processing their earlier talk. So that's it then... I'm in some team. He'd decided firmly on his future course. He could be a coward no longer, or practice any selfishness. He was with Megis to the end, for the Earth's sake. Because if he didnt, others would—Those less capable, weaker than he. He was responsible for them... For everyone. Chomei stared down at his clutched fist. He didnt know whether he liked that or not... But... did it really matter anymore?
