Nervan was a wealth of knowledge, Zerori was certain of it and that alone was a good reason to take their idiosyncrasies in stride. While she didn’t really get a good look at pigs while she was on Earth, she had no reason to doubt Nervan and made a mental note to try and get them a pig if they had a birthday or something similar. She watched their form just sort of move as if it wasn’t quite in sync with the rest of their body before they answered her question. Her head was cocked to the side in interest as they spoke just as cryptically as before and she had to stifle a snicker as she realized that they were likely giving the best answer that they could. It was slight but Zerori didn’t miss the subtle way Nervan was trying to answer her in a more straightforward manner. It was… nice.
With a nod, Zerori also turned her gaze back out to the city as Nervan had done, “I think I’m startin’ to get it. I don’t think I’ll understand it, like, a hundred percent or anything like that, but I’m graspin’ the concept!” She laughed, a lighter feeling reflected in her eye as they just sat on the building and… existed. The wild magic seen in the distance was equal parts humbling and beautiful as Zerori observed from what she hoped was a safe distance.
From the silence, the Demon woman felt herself compelled to speak, “When I was a little girl, my mother told me about wild magic. I didn’t really listen all that much because it was supposed to be ‘work’ and I hated having to do homework on magic,” She chuckled. “Probably should have paid attention, in hindsight.” She added ironically. “Anyway, from what I DO remember was that it came from nature but also not nature. It was like water but ONLY if it was falling down a waterfall. If that makes any sense!” She scoffed, smiling as she recalled her own confusion back then. “It’s always wild, no matter how much we want to control it. Still… There are many who try anyway.”
She turned to Nervan, “We’ll get rid of that magic one way or another. Maybe not just us but I think we can manage.” Zerori wouldn’t have the words to explain it but the intelligent and yet naive feeling Zerori got around the odd amalgamation was disarming.
