The images of the battles that were engraved in his mind were indeed fierce and cruel. He could not remember exactly what the dream was about, but it was almost like he was trying to protect something- or someone rather, while he fought each demon he made sure to have them make their distance. He tore them apart, but so did they each and every time, in those frames his movements were sluggish and rather unbecoming of him, almost as if he had already been wounded and they were grouping up on him unfairly so.
However, beyond that he would not be able to describe anything else. No person, individual or anything else in there was anything or anyone that truly made sense to him, they were all weird mushy stuff almost as if it was a memory so old you could not exactly make heads of whoever it was. However of course there was no way this was a memory.
"I wondered about that too once, but honestly I feel like I had just watched a movie the night before and I dreamed that up. You know, my grandpa has a cool isolated island in the middle of nowhere where we used to watch television all the time, between training. It was fun. You could see a lot of things on there. Sometimes I caught him watch stuff I did not understand, but he would always switch to another channel right away."
There was likely no other explanation to all this besides that, an imaginary creation of his own mind that had spawned something akin to something he probably watched back then. Not that he could remember anything even remotely similar, though, so there was that. Instead what he could figure out was that ultimately he had to just accept the fact that if some scary dudes tried to jump him, he would just kick their ass, especially in his current condition and form.
Nervan did not seem to really be offended or anything, if anything he talked about the unknown and various concepts that Bansho could at least understand but well, rather than the unknown to him it was mostly perhaps a misconception perhaps born of whatever the hell he remembered in his mind probably from the time he was a baby or something. Still, he figured that was cool so that was about it when it came to that misunderstanding. Instead Bansho otherwise looked forward to accepting the help, in the end most of the time the monkey had antagonized most people that crossed his path, having someone that for once helped him out sounded like an okay type of deal.
"Sure! I will do the same for ya then, we will kick ass. Or befriend, I guess."
When eventually Bansho just introduced his shapeshifting ability to his newfound friend, of course he could see that Bansho was indeed quite versatile... and while he defined them seventy-two forms, it was only because to him they were the only forms he could think of. He could likely go way past that, but never found any meaning or sense in doing so.
"Yup! One of the things I could do ever since I was a baby monkey! It just comes to me that easily."
Still Nervan explained that magic was just that much more vast than what the monkey perhaps understood at the moment. The thing is that magic to Bansho was... a thing that he knew existed, and something that he could partially do, but other than that he had never received any sort of education or anything like that when it came to magic. Indeed, he was just a guy that could do that one thing, but otherwise Nervan looked like he could do far more cooler tricks- like that kind of transformation he just did with the water!
Of course that alone he did not see as incredibly epic cool but he could see the usefulness, if a similar concept could be used by him during his creation of his perfect and only home, a paradise perhaps indeed that he could enjoy all for himself. Yes, that was indeed something he had to do now, there was no other choice. But, the question remained... how?
Bansho flew off his shoulder and returned to being the good old Bansho when he fast tracked up to Nervan's side and inspected the handiwork he just did with the water.
"Woo... maybe I could do something like this. Or well maybe some magic to boost a forest's nature. Like imagine a forest except it's so lush and vibrant it's a forest but better. They will call it forest two point zero! Absolutely delightful I tell you! But hmm... just how can I handle this?"
He looked over Nervan again.
