A Cold Glare (Open)

Rhapsody showed no reluctance when Qarinah's hand reached out to pat her head; on the contrary, the act felt warm and familiar, though Rhapsody couldn't remember the reason why. The act brought her calm, and she was happy to now know that the woman's name was Qarinah, which sated her curiosity and calmed her further. "That's such a pretty name, it's so wavy!" Rhapsody would respond, "It reminds me of flowing water~" She'd add pleasantly, moving her hand before her momentarily to simulate wavy, flowing water.

As Qarinah went on to explain her method for manipulating magic, Rhapsody's ears would perk up with sharp interest. She had a bit of difficulty following the example, but her interest wouldn't wane; she was most impressed at the lack of effort Qarinah needed to perform such impressive acts. To manifest objects and more as easily as breathing must have truly meant Qarinah spoke true when she said she was of a different species. It seemed impossible to train and learn something to the point of performing it as easily as taking a breath; unbeknownst to Rhapsody however, her own magic was quite similar. From the natural alteration of her magic garbs and armaments, to her very method of flight, while she herself may have had no idea as to how such things worked, in truth it was due to her natural affinity with magic.

Then, a bit of surprise would come to the girl as she felt a touch upon her cheek while momentarily lost in thought. Qarinah had offered to teach her how to perform such magic, and hearing the words would cause Rhapsody's eyes to widen with an overwhelming excitement. "Would you really?" She would ask as the feeling of excitement welled up within her chest. Suddenly, Rhapsody would lunge out towards Qarinah with her arms spread wide, attempting to nearly tackle the woman into a hug as her excitement got the better of her, "I would love that!!!" She'd exclaim joyously, possibly drawing in the curious attention of passerby's within the area.
