The whipping winds violently tore through the young boys short spiked white hair. The freezing winds layered his black gi in a thin layer of ice as he approached the top of mountain. The area was completely devoid of life. He was not surprised. This climate was completely different then anything he had yet to expierence.
The landscape hadnslowlt tranformed from a desert wasteland to now an ice capped wasteland. There was a stark distance between the smoldering desert he awoke in and the frozen tundra of the mountain. He could tell he was close to getting to the top. The air had begun thin and his breathing begin to quicken as his lungs struggled to get their normal fill of oxygen.
Through the icy clouds the top of the mountain came into sight. A flat plateu appeared before him signaling he was at the peak. The top was surprisingly flat minus the random debris of ice and rock laying around. Scarred earth could be seen. The state of the mountain reminded him of a ruin. What kind of battle had been fought here in the past he wondered?
With a soft thud his small body landed on the snowy mountain cap just at the edge of the plateau. His small child like frame touched down and sank almost to his knees in the snow. With a small burst of ki he pushed a small amount of snow out of the way so there was just enough of the earth exposed that he could sit down onlooking the world below.
He was not sure what he was doing up here. He clung to his chest where a circular shaped scar the size of a large dinner plate laid beneath his sleeveless fighting. top. He was contemplating his last battle in which he nearly died. Even though his healing factor saved his life the attack had been so powerful that even his regeneration could not make it go away.
His opponent had been a monster that was on a level most could only imagine in their wildest dreams. The loss had been weighing heavy on his mind. He was weak and needed to grow. Having just awoken recently he was at a loss for his purpose in this world. He was built to be a weapon but surely there was something out there in the universe for him he just wasn't sure what.
He looked around at the earth from the highest point on it. He admired its vast curves and brilliant coloring. It looked so massive but in a philosophical way felt miniscule all at once. Even with his enhanced amethyst eyes he could not see the base of the mountain through the clouds, only distant lands he had yet to explore.
He began to meditate intensely as his soul struggled to find balance. For the first time ever he questioned who he was. He was a newborn in a world he did not understand. If it. His inner state matched his outer state.....small
