Reserved Training

Zuqetta had spent plenty of time relaxing since the inauguration of the new Tuffle Chancellor. So much so, she'd almost wanted to resign herself to staying in Hatchi City; giving it all up and just living in peace. Sadly, she was still a kid, and compared to the common Tuffle youth, would've seemed an incredibly uneducated one. She had no place to stay in such a city, had no way to make money, and certainly didn't have anyone that would have been willing to take her in. It made her realize just how lucky she was to have been taken in by Vennel back when she ran away from home; as well as realize just how easy she had it when she actually HAD a home.

Of course, she could have always returned to the Freezing Horizon; but she still had no intention of just mooching off of Azoth's kindness to survive. Such was the reason she found herself having returned to the wastelands. She'd learned a few things in her training with Major Blizzard; with the most important being proper energy control.

She'd thought she'd already had such an understanding nailed down; but her fight with him proved her wrong. While she had plenty of control outside of combat, it was clear that she overexerted herself needlessly during combat. To combat this, she now found herself locked in a casual fight for survival against a small pack of saiba-wolves.

"Ohhhhh, well aren't you guys just so cute?" She'd state sarcastically as she eyed each of the wolves down; feeling out their energy, counting only seven in total, "I'm glad ya didn't bring your whole family like last time, things have changed since I was last here and-"

As she spoke, the of the saiba-wolves were quick to assail her; with two striking from both sides before, and another attacking from the rear. With a quick motion, Zuqetta would grab the snouts of the two before her; wincing slightly as their acidic drool hit her palms; before quickly, she'd slam the two into the ground. The impact was enough to crack the ground, but hardly enough to kill the beasts; she didn't want to anger a particular big lizard after all. The third was dealt with in a similar manner; as Zuqetta's trained tail would snap out, wrapping around the wolf's neck and slamming him down several times before tossing him to the side.

"-the last thing I'd wanna do is kill the lot of you off... -ahem- ahh again that is." She'd finish with a smile as she thought back to her first encounter with Rensou, "Besides, I don't think I'd be gettin' support this time around!" She'd say as she kept an eye on the remaining wolves that circled her, "Heh, not like I'd need it now. Hmm, but guys are a lot stronger than your previous generation, huh?"

Zuqetta would allow her energy to flow much more freely; doing well to keep it at a level comparable to the wolves. They had certainly seemed stronger, a likely evolution to survive potential extinction; but were still hardly a match, especially while in such a small group.

The remaining four wolves circled like sharks, as if calculating their attack before hand; if that were the case however, then they were pretty bad at math to imagine ANY positive conclusion to this hunt of theirs. Within moments, the four wolves would strike; coming from four different angles. While two would strike low, one would aim for the abdomen with its jaws while the last went high. Energy swelled in the last wolf; making it a clear indication that it was the pack leader.

Smacking her tail against the ground as she did a swift pivot; Zuqetta would bash one of the lower wolves in the face; sending it flying, while grabbing the other to slam it into the ground. Her twirl would help her to avoid the abdomen strike; with her tail coiling around the third wolf's leg, tugging him roughly across the ground before flinging him away.

The real issue came with the forth wolf, who had taken to the air; not for a physical strike, but of all things, and energy strike!

Zuqetta's eyes would widen with surprise as a blast came from the creatures mouth; albeit a rather weak one when compared to her own abilities. "Woah! You guys really HAVE evolved, huh?" She'd say excitedly as she narrowly avoided the blast, allowing her energy release completely.

With a quick kick off the ground, she would vanish from the wolf's sight; suddenly appearing behind the creature with a spin, before giving it a powerful kick that caused it to careen into the with an incredible crash.

"Fuuuu~ Fun! But I think it's time for a snack, hehe."

She'd already been at this for hours; encountering pack after pack of saiba-wolves. After each encounter, she would tend to the wolves a bit; ensuring none were dead and mending any more severe injuries. Which was what she'd do now as well, allowing the pack to leave once they had awoken; which they usually did, having realized the different in power. They'd have to deal with their own minor injuries however, if they couldn't, then how would they improve? With all said and done, and with the casual toss of a capsule; Zuqetta would take a breather atop a large flat rock, opening the small box that had been within the capsule and taking to snack on the sandwiches within.

The training was adequate for basic energy control; but pretty boring, certainly nothing that got her blood boiling.

"Mn~ That ki blast was pretty cool though I guess." She'd say as she at her sandwich, reflecting on the encounter, "Maybe that wolf would make a good companion?"
