Mint smiled lightly as Frozen spoke out against what he had to say. What he was putting himself at risk. Though he shook his head as he noted the stability of his Empire. “Emperor Azoth’s Empire. And perhaps there is some truth to that. Others may judge Emperor Azoth because of what I am. But my life? Sure I’m risking that more but so? You risk it more by just merely being in the position I am in. No? I stopped worrying about risk as much a long time ago. It is a gamble if you will. I expose my head out of the shadows a little more so someone can take a shot. In exchange I collect more of the sunlight I have been lacking. Like a mole if you wanna put it that way.” Maybe not the most flattering representation of himself but using such a simple statement would hopefully get the point across. He was not afraid that someone would try to take him down. Because he wanted to do as he pleased. But there was also a second part to it. He didn’t fear anyone taking him down because he believed he would always be that extra step ahead.
Though Frozen did have some truth to it. He was exposing himself to more attempts at his life then he may want thanks to his behavior, his brazen honesty. But that was just a difference in operation. Frozen in his mind was too focused on mitigating risk. And as Frozen said the only reason he said all of this was he didn’t want him to die. At the hand of someone who was crafty and lucky enough to find a way to kill him. Not through brute force but the cunning of a poison. Yes, this was a good enough reasoning. He didn’t want him to die. To stem his pride back. So he could avoid being a target. But they had a different look at things. No that was something he couldn’t do.
“A fine example. And it is good to hear that we are on the same page of not seeing each other be killed. But I disagree. If someone kills me while I do all of this through a poison, I shall clap at their cunning on my way to hell. One of the things I like doing in Frozen is hunting. Do you ever hunt?” Mint paused for a moment to hear Frozen's answer before he kept speaking. “I enjoy it because it is something I could use power for rather than cunning. I go out with a rifle or some kind, usually an Arcosian crafted laser blaster and just hunt. A beast that I could kill with my bare hands but instead I want to challenge myself. I saw all sorts of beasts kill each other. A scorpion slaying a lion for example. Poisoning the much stronger beast because it was lazy and didn’t watch. But I watch. I won’t sleep on the job like a lion.”
