Ise was quite pleased with herself as she managed to keep just outside of Azoth’s range as he surged after her time and again, however as she did so she could feel his power slowly building higher, part of her was relieved to note that it was not at all the same feeling as when he had achieved that new transformation, the rise was far to slow and lacked the concentration of energy around his head that the true transformation had possessed.

A more irrational part of her was of course offended that she could not yet push him to use that power, but perhaps in time that would change. Once Azoth’s power topped off again Ise knew what would be coming next, that sort of boost was often temporary and usually a precursor to something big, her attack rushed to meet him and Ise watched carefully for a moment to see what Azoth would do with his elevated power.

She groaned slightly as she felt the shift in his energy and ‘saw’ the concentration of his power around his body, it made his actual physical image even more indistinct for her but DID make him a lot more generally easy to keep track of as he was so thoroughly suffused with power, the potency was reduced somewhat as he smashed through her attack seemingly unaffected by it other than the surging power around him weakening as he pressed forward once more.

Ise took off again trying in vain to keep the distance all the while knowing that it would not work, rather she was looking for the best spot to take the hit, defending WAS an option and a perhaps decently viable one but with how much her attack had weakened whatever he was doing perhaps this was safe enough…

Ise held back a smirk at Azoth’s remarks about thinking and acting quickly, frankly, she doubted that just being QUICK was a particularly good method of defeating him, she needed to be clever to have a chance, find the holes in both his offense and defense and exploit them as best she could.

Her arsenal of techniques COULD do the job if she got the chance, she just needed to weather the storm… speaking of Azoth closed the distance between them just as Ise reached the part of the room she had determined to be least unpleasant to be battered into and was then very promptly smashed into by Azoth causing her to let out an unintentional shout of pain from the initial impact followed swiftly by hitting the nearby wall.

She’d hoped to entirely avoid vocalizing any pain Azoth managed to inflict, to deny him the potential satisfaction of the fact he was theoretically drawing closer to victory, though it DID act as a powerful motivator for her to drag herself back to her feet, her shoulder throbbed with pain and Ise took just a moment to grab hold of it and forcefully realign it earning growl through gritted teeth.

The only GOOD thing though was she could feel it, the rumble of power within herself, a bit of clarity through the pain to keep her focused, and so through the pain, Ise’s growl transitioned into a grin as she lunged forward attempting to jump onto Azoth once more and sink her claws into him and drive a knee into his jaw.

Ise was just a touch disappointed when her claws failed to sink into Azoth’s hide, she had been mostly certain that she ought to have been able to do so and idy wondered if Azoth had done more than just hunker down in order to defend himself. That, however, was a thought for later as she felt her knee make an impact, with the Arcosian’s jaw, and much to her satisfaction his head snapped back with the sort of force that likely would have outright killed a lesser being.

Sadly of course he did not die, he was barely even slowed down to be entirely honest as he forced his head to forward again to give her a manic sort of grin that Ise likely would be glad she could not see, before headbutting Ise with enough force to drive her off of him.

His follow up strike worked exactly as Azoth intended sending Ise hurtling toward the far wall and even earning a grunt of pain from the initial impact, unlike previous efforts however Ise did not simply smack into the wall in a pained heap and instead managed to ‘catch’ herself in the air and with a combined effort of athletic skill and raw determination Ise shifted her body’s position in the air and ‘landed’ on he wall much like one might on the ground she was then able to raise an arm to defend herself from the follow-up attack Azoth had been making and with a grin of her own Ise took a swipe at his face aiming to drag her claws across roughly where his eyes should be.

Getting exact details was rather difficult even for how well-honed her abilities were but it was generally easy enough to know the rough layout of where such things were located, there was usually a bit of deviation but rarely anything so massive that with the ability to perceive the rough shape of her opponents head an face she could not locate what she was trying to attack.

Damaging Azoths eyes was likely a longshot, even more so to expect it to be anything permanent or frankly even particular debilitating but as it stood Ise needed any advantage she could create, and if she could even only briefly limit Azoth she needed to give a go at trying.

“Bold of you to assume I plan to let you go that far! I know my limits quite well and I can grasp just how much impact anything you throw at me will have better than almost anyone else alive. If I’m not defending it’s because YOU are the one not trying hard enough yet.” Ise said with a smug sort of satisfaction entirely contrary to the reality of her position. Part of it was all genuine, she did after all feel quite certain she was among the best capable of making the sort of determinations she claimed.

But of course, quite a lot of it was all just said with hope that it would get under Azoths skin just a bit.

Ise half expected Azoth’s comment on him ‘trying harder’ to involve him reassuming that new transformation, something Ise was vaguely interested in if only to gain a better understanding of how it worked even if it would almost certainly cut off ANY avenue of victory for her, instead though it seemed to just mean that Azoth intended on putting forth more active effort in the fight itself.

He’d already sadly blocked her from raking his eyes, she had figured it would be a bit of a long shot however the fact Azoth had chosen active defense over simply ‘tanking’ a hit from her indicated that perhaps he was not so overconfident to believe her claws incapable of doing lasting harm to his eyes. For as strong as people like them were eyes remained ultimately rather fragile things after all.

Ise opted not to respond to Azoth’s taunt on the fact she was growing a bit more tired, it was ultimately true to an extent and she had no particularly clever responses ready for it, what she needed to focus on was how she was going to hit Azoth next.

Azoth moved in first focusing on a rapid-fire array of punches many of which Ise was able to dodge surprisingly well, sone required her to block them which was only slightly better than taking a direct hit, and when finally Azoth’s barrage became a bit too much and he landed a few solid hits Ise would open one palm and unleash a blast of energy at Azoth as she pulled back once again creating a bit of distance between them.

As she continued to make her opening Ise would launch a quick series of energy beams at him rushing around him in a circular pattern as she did so and hoping maybe a few might land, in particular, she hoped the few aimed at his back would hit considering the first wounds she had inflicted on him were there.

Ise was growing just a bit nervous over how long it had been since Azoth had used a ‘proper’ attack, sure most of his general offense was dangerous enough but the real issue was everything else he could throw at her, the only vague positive she had going for her was the fact that the longer he took to do so the more time she had to figure things out and build up her own energy.

While she could certainly not maintain the exact same tactic she had been using so far for the entirety of the battle she perhaps COULD do so a few more times safely, that, however, would require Azoth the play into her plan which was perhaps not the most ideal thing to rely on, for all the negatives she could spout off about Azoth he was neither a bad fighter nor a complete idiot.

So perhaps she ought to get a bit more tricky.

Ise felt Azoth’s shift in position and power and as he rushed in her direction Ise focused her energy taking a deep breath as she attempted something she rarely had much cause to utilize, she kept one arm behind herself and dragged deep lines into the air as she moved to keep distance between herself and Azoth, the energy, however, remained still as Azoth chased her down one arm extended.

Ise was pleased to feel the technique ‘set’ itself in place as she pulled away from Azoth hoping to use his focus on her as a distraction, as she drew him further away from her technique before he finally caught up to her and his arm crashed into her dragging her through all manner of equipment for several moments before Ise could regain her bearings, as Azoth moved to crash her through something else Ise grabbed hold of the offending limb and swung herself forward and like an acrobat on a high bar swung around his arm and launched herself off of him.

Ise landed with as much grace as she could manage after having been throttled through most of the heavy objects in the room and cracked her neck as she settled back into her stance, his comments on expecting her to fall behind earned a snort as it was something she was quite used to. Few people other than her Father had ever expected her capable of ‘keeping up'.

That she was apparently on par with the new Saiyan Queen was quite interesting, that HAD to mean it was someone like Vennel or Rosemary, Vennel had been the first Saiyan to actually exceed her power while Rosemary was quite close when last they had interacted.

“I hadn’t pegged you for a brawler, I always sort of figured you would have a more ‘stand back and observe’ sort of fighting style.” it was interesting to see that his style or at least the version he was presenting in this fight was such a sharp contrast to her expectations, that however would just mean adjusting her way of approaching a fight with him in the future.

“And for your information, this is me falling behind. I’d frankly consider myself near out of shape as I am.” There was something left unsaid in how Ise spoke her comment on herself, the idea that if this fight were to happen again that she would NOT be in such a state.

Ise used the time that Azoth spent being strangely amused by her comment to get a chance to take a few breaths and with a bit of effort realign her shoulder that had been injured at some point during the various efforts Azoth had made to smash her through every square inch of the room they were in, part of her wondered if perhaps the ‘Emperor’ would aim to put her through an entire wall next. It seemed though that he found her claim to be particularly humorous apparently not quite able to believe that her current strength was something Ise found mostly unacceptable.

Perhaps it was the fact that Azoth believed himself so far ahead of most people that he could not quite conceive of the idea of Ise or perhaps anyone being any closer to his own power, while she WAS doing her best to keep up with him he seemed less than inclined to realize that the vast majority of her own offense was born from taking advantage of his own attacks, she only narrowly avoided some of his offense and more often than not that speed and strength he mentioned forced her to shift to a more defensive style, avoiding some of his more basic attacks in hopes that she could last a bit longer while trying to tank the ones backed up with TRUE power.

She’d spent the past few months doing damn near NOTHING as she attempted to reconcile with the fact that her Father was gone, of course, Azoth had only last seen her when she was quite a bit weaker, perhaps he might have been better able to understand what she meant had he known that her power had not actually shifted much at all since her Father’s death.

Ise let out an annoyed huff deciding not to respond to his claims that she was lying, doing so would require her to explain things she was NOT interested in talking to Azoth about, as well he gave her a decent excuse to remain silent as he launched a powerful attack her way.

With a frustrated growl, Ise made a gesture and the jagged energy she had left behind after Azoth’s last attack surged through the air at her silent command the three claw-like constructs swirling around Azoth’s own attack cutting into it and causing the wave to disrupt early and explode between herself and Azoth.

“Believe what you want, if I can't win now then next time we fight I’ll be at my best,” Ise said as she darted forward aiming another quick series of swipes at Azoth, the height difference, unfortunately, making it necessary to just strike at his body in general rather than going for something more vital like a strike at the eyes.

Ise was curious how Azoth would respond to her negating his attack, part of her wondered if he would be annoyed by the idea but he lacked any sort of dramatic reaction which was perhaps for the best, for him to fly off the handle about something like that would frankly make him LESS interesting and not quite fit what she had seen of him thus far. Ise was preparing herself to dodge what seemed likely to be some sudden lunge from Azoth when her senses were assaulted by the ship’s alarm system. Not nearly loud enough to actively harm or disable her but annoying nonetheless.

“What the hell is this, did we breach your ship or something?” Ise asked sounding far more annoyed than concerned, in fact, she appeared almost entirely unconcerned about the concept of Azoth’s ship having a breach despite the genuine danger such a thing could pose to her.

In theory, it was massively dangerous but Ise was confident enough that she could put up a barrier to keep herself safe… though keeping VOCADO safe was a different story and that did manage to draw a bit of concern out of her. She would probably have to end the fight in such a case, she could hardly afford to lose him as well and Vocado deserved better than death by space vacuum.

Were he conscious or she alone it would be no real risk at all and frankly Ise would be tempted to keep fighting, she was relatively confident that she could manipulate her energy to keep herself safe for short periods in space, long enough to put up a barrier and if she DID need to escape her ship was near enough to pick her up.

But it was quickly revealed to be no such issue, SOMETHING was going on with the remaining functional machines and she could tell Azoth was clearly agitated by whatever information he was getting from them not that she could actually see what it was.

Ise scowled in clear annoyance as Azoth apparently wanted to end the fight to… go to Plant? To handle some sort of situation there? Ise’s initial instinct was to laugh at the very idea of accepting that as a reason to end this fight, the fact he followed it up by re-entering his transformed state only made her hesitate in that it was clear she could no longer actually WIN.

Whatever was happening on Plant should have had no real bearing on her, she cared only for Vocado among the Saiyans and had no lasting interest in the Tuffles. If they decided to go to active war again and kill each other then so be it.

But Azoth’s next comments changed things, he claimed that Zerori and Zriracha were there, that they were in danger. Ise’s teeth grit at his mention of them and Ise was faced with the difficult choice of whether she ought to trust what Azoth had to say, she’d trusted him once before when he was just a guard asking about her Father.

But this felt quite a bit different, and perhaps even beyond Zerori possibly being in danger it was clear that Azoth’s entire focus had shifted from the fight, she COULD very easily launch herself at him FORCE him to finish this fight and in doing so get herself severely injured and maybe give him a few scratches.

But no matter what his mind would not be HERE on the fight that was so important to her. She would just be a distraction.

The very idea only served to make her MORE angry but it was a different sort of anger, it actually helped keep her thoughts clearer in a strange way. It helped her understand what she needed to do from here.

“Fine. Go play hero or whatever it is you’re trying to do for them. If Zerori really IS down there you had better damn well make sure she leaves though before things get dangerous. I doubt there are many that COULD harm her but I don’t want her involved where you might be fighting and I certainly won’t be going myself, I doubt I would be able to restrain myself from attacking you again, so make sure she knows from me that she should leave that fight.” Ise let out a long breath as she stepped away from Azoth, never QUITE dropping her guard as she moved over to Vocado’s injured form and hefted her Uncle up.

“If you don’t need your ship just go, I won’t bother harming your ship even if it IS a bit tempting. I’ll just save it all for later because this is not over Azoth. Sometime soon I will make my way back to Arcose and we will finish this. No excuses next time though, I’ll be at my best, and you won’t get to drop things to play protector.”

Ise does not block Azoth's exit and instead exits with Vocado.
