The surprise attack coming from Ban was yet another obstacle in Arzhael's path. The fact that the alien could split his own head like that, which revealed a sick way to throw acid at him, was unique, to say the least, and probably disgusting to most of the galaxy's population. Regardless, Arzhael would not let this attack distract him. His energy would briefly soar, doubling at the same time his sword would lightly gleam once again. First things fist, he would slash upward, using the momentum to jump as his blade sliced the bunch of acid in two, avoiding the attack.

'' See? You're mostly talking, but very little actual bite! '' He shouted to him while mid-air, preparing to give him the rest of his attack right in the face. If he couldn't be worthy, at least, Ban would make for a decent practice once if a while.

Then, as he was in the air, Arzhael would attempt to land right on Ban, sword still powered up and first! Quite the bold move, of course, but one that the demon was pretty proud of. Briefly, he was stronger than his opponent and believed to have a fair advantage in terms of energy as well, so whatever Ban would pull out to mitigate the damage, it would have to be a new trick, since nothing Arzhael had already seen could help him from that situation. The swordsman knew the saibaman to be full of surprises though, and he kept in mind the possibility of having to disengage rapidly if something happened.

The first thing Arzhael noticed when he sliced part of Ban and saw his bloodshed all over was how many signatures there were left in the area. Not too much, considering there was a huge number of them just a few minutes ago... the escape of the saibamen was a success... too bad, Arzhael would have a 'good' mark on his track record, but in the end, he was doing enough bad to make sure that whenever he died, he would go right back home. That said, his fight with Ban had to take all focus right now, so he did not pay too much further attention to his surroundings beyond that.

When the head of the saibaman opened once again, Arzhael was exposed, still in the air, falling to the ground, and took the acid splash to everything. After the initial feeling of being splashed with liquid, it quickly began to burn... Of course, his armor could do little at protecting against liquids after all, and he could feel. Initially, the swordsman would grunt of pain as the liquid got into a few holes in his body that he would rather not, but after a short while, he became used to it... that and it slowly started to fade, as Ban's ki within the liquid was expended.

''Argh! How do you keep this in your body? This is disgusting!''

He would say before smashing his sword into the ground and bringing his hands together in front of him, sending a barrage of ki blasts towards Ban, just to make sure he was not getting comfortable at a distance. Yeah, Arzhael could do those as well, he had projectiles, he just mostly did not use them.

There it was! The fight that Ban had in him, it was right there, under a good layer of cowardness, Arzhael finally was able to get the saibaman to fight him back. This time, it came in the form of the little green alien jumping towards him at full speed and even throwing a blast at him, which would collide with the demon's last projectile and explode in his face. No real pain was felt for that, but the swordsman knew the alien was coming for him now, and emerged from the cloud of smokes the explosion made, ready to clash with him.

'' Really? Damn, I'll have to watch my blade then, wouldn't want to dull it with your acidic whatever. Because then, I have to magically re-sharpen it, and it's a whole day when the damage is serious. It does explain the big head though, I can see why you'd need to keep this thing far from your brain.''

He would answer to the alien's explanation before attempting to play on Ban's reflexes. He would point the broad side of his blade towards Ban, putting it in front of himself so that logically, the alien would want to land on it. If Ban did fall into this little trap, the demon would then push with all of his might, hopefully throwing the alien off-balance, which would then allow him to follow up with a couple of swipes at him. Crazy ideas surely, but he would never pass on the possibility of learning new moves.

Now that it was a challenge, this fight was getting much more important in Arzhael's eyes. If the alien managed to prove that he could defeat the demon without transformation, it would be quite humiliating for him, enough so that he would transform, which would in term double confirm what Ban had said about him. He had completely been manipulated by his opponent into fighting at disadvantage just to prove a point.

This fight was proving to be quite the challenge. Sometimes, Arzhael wondered just how much easier it would be if he transformed, he knew just how strong he could get when using the power of Makyo, but to what extent was still somewhat of a mystery to him, he did not have yet the chance to test his limits before. The demon did not see this fight as an opportunity to test them either, Ban was not someone to push his limits with, but rather test new things, as far as he was concerned. Right now, he was testing the weakness of his base form.

His opponent fell into his trap, being sent flying by the demon before getting one slash right to the chest. While he managed to dodge the rest, Arzhael still counted this as a win. He was leading this fight, and if things kept going that way, he was going to prove to Ban that he was wrong about him. But when he came to punish the alien for staying in the air, the saibaman's head opened once again, and the demon quickly took cover behind his sword's broadside, hoping he could avoid that splash of acid to the face once more.

... but nothing came, aside from a headbutt that he took square in the chest. He had been fooled by Ban once more! The swordsman stood his ground though, and he would attempt to counter-attack with a few punches, dropping his sword since the alien was already too close, and needed some fast attention. His style without a sword needed practice anyway, but his punches were swift and well-aimed, maybe lacked a bit of brutal force he usually shows with his sword.

After being tricked like this, Arzhael's anger was boiling up in inside of him, and so did his energy. He was full now, and it was about time he attacked Ban again, or the alien would believe he was going soft on him. He just had to think of a way to go around Ban's defenses without exposing himself too much to counter-attacks, which was not an easy task.

Arzhael had managed to get Ban back after he headbutted him and dented his armor once again. The alien had a bad habit of getting under his skin like that, with the burnt he inflicted him earlier, and now the dent in his armor. When he lept back to probably get a breather, the demon would take his sword back from the ground where he left it to battle with his hands. Seems he wasn't too bad at it, after all, a good thing to know he did not go soft since he's had his sword years ago, he was still as brutal.

'' What's wrong? Lost the confidence you had earlier? Don't think you can beat me without transforming anymore? But don't lose hope too fast Ban, it's about to get much, much worst!''

The swordsman said with a devilish grin as his sword lit up with flame-like energy. It did not feel too right to use this technique of his while not transformed, but at this point, there wasn't much he could do about it. He had accepted a challenge and was surely not backing away from it, not until Ban himself chickened out.

'' Hakai Release...''

He began to chant, getting into position, holding the sword, blade facing backward and under him. His aura flared, his power seemed to double for a moment, just in time for him to finally drag his sword on the ground, liberating a powerful wave of demonic energy towards Ban.

'' Calibur !''

He shouted as the beam of darkness began to swallow the distance between him and Ban. How would the alien react to that? Now, he was waiting to see with his own eyes, as he seemed to remember the alien's lack of a proper way to deal with really powerful attacks.

The unexpected. This is what Arzhael had forgotten when fighting against Ban. Maybe he was right, maybe the gap in power was just enough so that he held the advantage, and the demon should change strategy. However, this was never as clear as when Ban simply evaded his attack just in time and then lunged at him, claws at the ready, while the demon was powerless to stop him. The claws connected with his face, shredding his helmet and dealing damage far beyond whatever the swordsman thought possible from the small alien! Three massive wounds were not on his face, and one of his eyes was forced to close as the swelling rapidly grew on it.

Blood dripped from the demon's face, the cost of his cockyness being too great for whatever he had to win in this fight. He did not even have the time to recover his breath after this that he was pushed outward with great force, the alien using a beam of energy to send him flying for meters.

Eventually catching his fall, Arzhael was holding himself with one arm to the ground, his vision badly damaged, blood oozing from his face wounds and to the ground... the sight of his own blood was one that was rare. He slowly got back up, whipping the blood from his face with his gauntlet as he held his sword on the other.

'' It is true. You are stronger while untransformed. But don't think that means you won just yet. ''

His aura flared once more, his determination only strengthened by the fact that it was not going to be an easy win. He got into position once again, using the pain he was feeling to fuel his anger and power.

'' Don't believe just because you landed a solid hit, that you can declare victory just yet. ''
