When Yangcong declared he would find a way to learn more about demons, Qarinah couldn't help but chuckle and shake her head. The silver-haired Vampiric Demon almost felt sorry for the poor bastard. Almost. Oh well, far be it from her to interfere with the eventual loss of his soul. Not everything people read, watch or hear about demons is true... but for every load of shit out there, there was a nugget of truth. And she knew some demons back home who if a mortal tried to contact them, and did so "incorrectly" would make the half-breed into their new personal plaything.

But was she going to tell him that? Nah. Let him figure it out for himself~ Much more fun and entertaining... It also meant one less potential headache for her in this universe. Now that she could focus her full attentions towards Cheri without interruption, Qarinah was able to take in some of the more interesting aspects of the person she was making a deal with. Even in an apparent relaxed state as she was, there was always at least one digit of hers close by to one or more buttons or other such devices.

And as fitting for a politician and high ranking military official as she was, the pink haired Tuffle woman knew her way around the entendre and innuendos of word play with almost a demonic level of ease. Qarinah snickered when Cheri declared she believed in that which was real. No doubt she was already running the scenario of science equating magic if enough understanding were applied, and she wasn't entirely too far off. There was a very thin line in places between the two, especially when it came to the magics that manipulated life and such...

The silver haired woman sighed theatrically and snapped her fingers before pouting. "Oh well gosh darn it." she said when Cheri didn't take the very obvious bait. She then smirked and chuckled. "You would be surprised at how many just go straight for it, even with a fake contract like this one." Qarinah said, holding up the blank napkin sized piece of paper.

"Usually angsty teens though. Although some are kind of cute and adorable in how eager they are to strike an infernal bargain. Some even have actual legitimate reasons for doing so as well, which is sort of commendable." she admitted, twirling a lock of her hair with a finger as she reminisced.

With a snap of her fingers though she did conjure up a far more official looking scroll like document that she would offer to the pink haired Tuffle woman. "This one however, you can peruse at your leisure before signing it should you wish to make an official bargain." Qarinah explained. Should Cheri choose to open it to give it a quick skim of the document herself at the moment... well, it would indeed roll out to at least a good twenty feet in length, written in four point sized font. A button on the side of the scroll would roll it back up for her.

The Vampiric Demon took a sip of her wine before placing the empty glass on the floating table. "So... anything else you wish to discuss at the moment or review? It's just us girls now." she mused, leaning slightly forward and resting her chin in her hands whilst her elbows met her knees.

The silver haired Vampiric Demon was not expecting for the pink haired Tuffle to read through the contract here and now, but here she was... and rather quite quickly as well... Surely she wasn't reading every single last word and detail of the scroll right if she was reading it that rapidly? Right? Qarinah blinked as Cheri then began to read through the contract again for a second time, admittedly taking it a little bit more slowly this time around.

There wasn't any hidden subtext, literal or metaphysical, in the contract. Or any words hidden inside of certain letters or even in the borders of the contract, unlike some certain portly chubby entities in the Northern Galaxy liked to do.

The size of it all was mostly to cover any possible vagaries between racial speech patterns, including various languages which if translated was just the exact same as the text that had preceded it. As well as to satisfy any literally infernal lawyers that came across it. Lots of vis-a-vis and party of the first party etcetera etcetera etceteras.

What it all boiled down to and came to of course was that should Cheri sign this agreement, then for every Saiyan Qarinah incapacitated, captured, killed, maimed, converted, basically any option that could be taken was up for consideration and listed as such, the Vampiric Demon could take blood samples from. For every one hundred Saiyans that she did something to over the course of her tenure on behalf of the Tuffles, Qarinah was entitled to a blood sample of Cheri's own blood.

Should the Tuffle be found in breach of this by supplying either someone/thing elses blood rather than her own, or even producing fake blood, then her soul would become Qarinah's property to do with as she so desired for the next one hundred years. Time altering dilation chambers of mystical origin notwithstanding.

Vice versa, should Qarinah be discovered to be preying upon any of the Tuffles during her tenure under this contract outside of legitimate self-defence or in defence of upholding the stipulated conditions within the contract, this breach of contract would result in her becoming Cheri's legal property to be dealt with as she sees fit, and any and all blood samples that she had acquired would be subject to immediate termination and disposal.

In regards to half-breeds, hybrids, genetic and/or mystically created entities that contain elements of Tuffle and Saiyan in them are exempt from either side breaching this contract. Qarinah looked Cheri over and gave an inquisitive tilt of her head. "So? Everything in order and understandable I trust? We do try to take into account a variety of languages and other such linguistic factors when drawing these up." she explained.

Qarinah shrugged when Cheri inquired about an interest in her blood. "Standard protocol since you are the one I'm making the contract with. If I were making a contract with your governmental body for example, the contract would be amended to being a vial of blood from a random member of said governmental system for every ten Saiyans, dependent on said governmental bodies membership size, since that can be collected at a greater safer rate than from just one person." she said, as if that was simply the logical conclusion. "And believe me, this method is a bit more civilised..." the Vampiric Demon explained before shuddering.

"About four or five centuries back it would have been ounces of flesh, or bits and pieces of your soul..." she said, sounding utterly disgusted by the whole affair. She sighed and took a sip of her drink. "We don't really have much use for what the mortal reality uses for currency in the Demon Realm, since we tend to live a lot longer than it remains valid for, so we make do with other things." she explained further, almost quite languidly at this point.

The silver haired woman then flashed her pink haired counterpart a conspiratorial smirk. "Unless you've secretly been stashing away a veritable hoard of ancient magical artifacts in the proverbial basement as it were. Those would probably suffice if you didn't wish to part with any of your blood." Qarinah said with a chuckle.

She did consider the amendments that Cheri had requested though. On the surface it made sense, but it also removed any ambiguities she could have taken advantage of in the confusion of battle. "How about we don't include mercenaries in the listings? They can switch allegiances at the drop of a hat should the pay fit them after all, and they don't always have to tell their former employers right before they plunge the dagger in their backs?" the Vampiric Demon counter-offered.

She stretched her wings and looked about the area. "But we can go over the precise details at a more appropriate time and setting yes? After all, you did earlier stipulate that you would like your lawyers and such to take a look at it first." Qarinah pointed out.

The Vampiric Demon sincerely doubted that what Cheri was claiming regarding Tuffles actually having many artifacts of magical nature. No doubt they had a lot of their technological ones, but that wasn't the items that were requested. The Tuffle Premier once more made mention of being bled dry to which Qarinah tilted her head as if in thought. "Well, the numbers are of course adjustable so that your natural regeneration rate can be taken into account, along with your stature." she mused. "Tuffle biology isn't exactly a strong suit of mine after all... I'm sure your doctors can provide a safer numerical rate of Saiyans per vial for my payment of services rendered."

So now she was trying to adjust the contract to protect any and all mercenaries from her feeding and attacks. Now now, that simply would not do! This was a warzone after all, and if her meals were to be restricted to solely those on the "Vegetan" side of the war, then she should at least be allowed some variety! Not merely restrained to an all Saiyan diet! Sure she would be getting bits and pieces of Tuffle in the form of Cheri's blood to go with that every so often, but that would be more akin to a vinaigrette than an actual meal!

Qarinah was starting to wonder if this pink haired woman wasn't at least somewhat partially demonic herself somewhere in her family lineage. Or at the very least related to a lawyer. Most politicians just wanted to get the best deal for themselves, and screw everyone else in the process if they could get away with it... But this one... Oh this one was a little trickier than that!

The Vampiric Demon sighed and shrugged, resting her glass on the table. "Not something more important to discuss no, but I do worry that that gorilla of a male from before might consider our prolonged chat thus far to be against his best interests and try to... hurry things along so to speak." Qarinah pointed out, with a thinly veiled analysis regarding Yangcong thrown in for good measure.

"Although I will admit to a little concern regarding that one... Openly admitting to having scientists in your employ working on an illegal substance in attempts to "improve" it? And now he wants to try and do the same with ancient magical life-draining gemstones that quite frankly even I wouldn't go near..." she mused, shaking her head.

"Yes yes, the evolutionary scale of fuel and discovery thereof." said the Vampiric Demon with a waft of her hand and a sigh. "Honestly the amount of power crazed madmen you'd meet down in Hell who all spouted off similar speeches in order to justify their mass destructive capabilities would astound you." she said, sounding rather exhausted just remembering those discussions she'd had with those souls... right before she'd consumed their essences.

"The problem you'd have with trying to use Blood Rubies in the same manner as the other forces you've mentioned is their very nature." Qarinah began to explain. "Everything else you've utilised has been of this universe. Of this... dimension if you will." she said, conjuring a basic replica of the cosmos as far as she understood it, in the form of a sphere, with various layers plopped in. "Here we have the universe, its various galaxies and stars and such. Where all you mortals reside." she said, gesturing to the chunk in the lower half of the sphere.

"Here, rather ironically by some mortal species accounts," the silver haired woman remarked with a chuckle, "is the dimensional layer of the Afterlife, with Hell residing here, and Heaven or whatever counterpart you wish to call it being here." Qarinah motioned to the upper half of the sphere. "Here in reside the Oni or Ogres, the ghosts, and other such spiritual creatures." She then tracked her finger down to a smaller sphere attached to the bottom of the larger universe one.

"That there is the Demon Realm. And up over here somewhere," Qarinah said with a sigh and roll of her eyes as she gestured to the space around the exterior of the universal sphere, "in theory and according to myth reside the Shinjin or the Kais or the Gods, however you want to name them." With a snap of her fingers, a thin red line began to trickle from the Demon Realm and up into the mortal portion of the universal sphere. "The Blood Rubies utilise energies from our realm, flowing almost like a river from an ocean trickling into the mainland as it were. At least in my understanding of how they generally tend to appear in the mortal cosmos." she said with a non helpful shrug.

"Your scientists would probably find a way to use Blood Rubies to power their stuff given enough time sure... But recreating it into a non-life draining version yet still retaining its mystical properties?" Qarinah said with a scoffing snort of air from her nostrils. "That would be like... asking one of your cave dwelling ancestors to try and recreate Destron Gas into a safe version with only sticks and stones." she mused, taking a sip of her wine. "In any case, the subject is all rather moot until your scientists even begin to make the attempt. Assuming they do try to collect more Blood Rubies to perform a comparative analysis between the originals and their fabrications." she said, a fanged smirk stretching her lips.

"Of course, they'll have to remember that the more of the original that is gathered in one spot, the exponential their effects on living things around them becomes." Qarinah reminded Cheri, the universal map fading into motes of red dust that began to rot away before disappearing entirely.
