CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
Then, one day, while her father was having other important figures in the Saiyan military visit their domain for a war strategy meeting, Alpinia met the son of one of these other commanders, a Saiyan boy named Taori. The two hit it off quite well and quite quickly, as neither of them had ever had much interaction with someone their age, and even less interaction about things other than fighting or the war. That was not the last time the two got to see each other, either. Over the years, they met many times, even sometimes sneaking off to have a night on the town away from their parents' supervision. Eventually, the pair fell in love and professed their intent to marry each other to their parents. Neither parent was pleased about the arrangement, however. Taori's father considered Alpinia to be a mere distraction, and Alpinia's father refused to let her be wed to a low-class warrior.
Taori was promptly sent to the front lines, and Alpinia suspected her father had arranged this specifically so that the other Saiyan would die out there. But Taori didn't die, and Alpinia never lost touch with him, either: the two used their scouters to talk frequently, and every night they would call and Taori would assure Alpinia he was still alive. Though Alpinia wanted to join him out there, Taori insisted she stay in the Vegeta region, where he knew she'd be safe from harm. Eventually, Taori's tour ended, and the two again asked for her father's blessing, but he refused. Once a low-class, always a low-class, her father insisted. That did not deter them, however. After a few years had passed, and Alpinia's uncle Garrick had perished in the war, Taori returned yet again, and this time, they asked for no permission to love each other.
The pair had a lovely wedding away from their families, and Alpinia relinquished her claim to her territory and took Taori's family name. They now live away from the bustling city, off in Tarbel Village, and while both are somewhat restless over the uncertain state of the war, both are certain that they'll keep each other safe at all costs.

BACKGROUND: Alpinia was born to an upper-class noble Saiyan family, with an astonishing power level of 250 from her moment of birth. She was swiftly designated as a high-class Saiyan warrior and bestowed with all the trappings of one, as those born with power are automatically deemed superior to those weaker than them. Still, despite this high natural power, Alpinia possessed little affinity for combat. It wasn't necessarily that she disliked it, more than she had... Difficulty getting any good at it. She could hit things hard, but sloppily and strangely, and it seemed like no amount of training would fix that.
