There was no saying that her policy was very fair: no pain all the gains. While Nasu’s was no pain no gain, but that was about training, right? Somewhat. He did enjoy physical contact, to the point where of course he was most like a Saiyan: a punch, a fist, a slap or whatnot in such a situation only drove his blood to fight and furthermore keep up his ideals. It was as strong if not stronger of a motivation than the one he had as a Knight to protect what he stood for, but supposedly he thought that both things could compliment one another.
As well as they could cause a conflict within his heart and mind. But Cheri’s was also pretty simple to agree with; but again, he had to figure out his own way of fighting and developing newer techniques. He couldn’t just take after her.
“I do enjoy a rough touch, instead. It makes the battle better. But sadly I can’t just be a berserker. Or well, not to great lengths. I’ll end up receiving more damage than I can chew eventually. I will have to figure this out.”
Sadly his strike, when he actually executed it was completely avoided and further more, each time he tried to chase her, with a frown upon his face; time and time again she disappeared again to the point where all the ki he built up vanished and left him again tired and without strength.
Damn. This sucked. But if anything, he could— oh, no he couldn’t. She was behind him, he could feel it even the jab of a quarterstaff wasn’t needed as his senses screamed her location. He shut his eyes.
At this point all Nasu could do was briefly exhale from his mouth. But it wasn’t in annoyance but rather he gathered all of the exhaustion in his body (at least mentally) and began to slowly pour it outside. His mind was now allowed to slowly breathe once more, his muscles once more could feel blood flowing within. If anything, he hadn’t a fight like this in a while. One where he struggled, lost and even learned from it.
He began to see a pattern: he had only relied on pure power and strength before to hit his opponents, yet perhaps he could also see there were ways to overpower them singlehandedly without a clear strength advantage. He supposed not all was for naught this day: he gained a lot. From knowledge to a possible purpose in life, the Knight once more felt youthful thanks to his newfound friend.
Nasu agreed and just faced forward, before his head began to lift up at the skies with a brief smile that she couldn’t yet see as he yet gave her his back. His eyes would have gotten lost in the sky: wondering what else could be next now that he was going to possibly battle in a war. But at least he wasn’t going to be alone in this.
He confirmed, his smile died and soon he turned to face her once more. He immediately fell once more down into what was typical for him; a pose like any other, both his arms folded over his bare and nude chest, looking down at Cheri. A tour? She’d show him around the Tuffle City? He was kind of excited to hear that, but admittedly he mostly wanted to find a restroom and let those sore and throbbing muscles rest for a change.
“I will follow your lead. Is there a bed for me? Or anywhere I can rest, honestly. I must be in shape should anything take place.”
Nasu gives up!
