CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
BACKGROUND: Cress was a model Saiyan for the first twenty years of her life: fiercely loyal to the cause, eager for battle, merciless, and arranging a marriage for compatibility and politics over love.
She was distant to most of her family - especially disdainful of Callion and his 'low life Tuffle tactics' as she called them. Most of her time was spent leading troops into skirmishes, executing tactical strikes, or playing rear guard in Vegetan territory. During deployments she ended up courting Endiver, a Major in the army and powerful Saiyan in his own right. At the ripe age of twenty three she had her first child with him: Scallio.
Shortly after disaster struck as Cress and her squad were hit with a Destron bomb, wiping out her team and leaving her with crippling internal injuries and breathing problems. Faced with forced retirement and to become a housewife, Cress opted to accept an offer of experimental Destron treatment at the behest of Callion.
She wouldn't see the outside world for the next two decades. The Saiyans worked with turncoat Tuffle collaborators - experimenting on her and other Destron afflicted Saiyans to create a stronger Saiyan immune to the gas' effects. Cress' endured isolation, torture, and irreversible bodily modification before eventually ripping free one day; having grown strong enough to kill her captors and wipe out all traces of their research she could find.
Yet as a parting gift they left Cress with a triggered failsafe - soluble nanobots tied to her blood production that would slowly but surely kill the rogue test subject after two years. With her husband and son missing, a well of anger from years of abuse, and a biological ticking clock... Cress seeks to pay back the world in kind for what it has done to her.
