"HAH!" Madlock would shout, a credulous grin across his face, "I find any fur on a plate, you'll eat, but you'll be payin' double!" he'd remark, giving a hearty laugh before turning away from the two and walking towards a table.
The restaurant, a generous word to use for the place, wasn't too populated. There were plenty of tables, and the front of the building was wide enough to host a good few dozen patrons at once. Strangely enough however, there were only two other patrons in the building, sitting off in a corner booth enjoying their personal time together. Perhaps it was the time of day, or Madlocks rather hostile personality, either way, the Heran didn't seem that bothered by the lack of business.
A younger Heran boy manned the front counter with a bored expression, paying little mind to anyone else around. A few paper bags rested on the table behind him, clearly filled with what was likely food. Meats of different varieties hung from a rack above, as if on display for potential patrons curious for a what to eat. The back kitchen was clearly visible even from the front, allowing anyone to see their meal being made right before them. As Madlock led Zuqetta and Bansho to a table, the door would open once more with a Saiyan rushing towards the front counter. A short exchange would be had between the Saiyan and the Heran boy, before he'd pass one of the bags to the Saiyan and quickly send him on his way.
"Hehe, you know what I want!" Zuqetta would remark, her motions a bit more refined than most of her kin as she adjusted her dress before taking a seat in he booth.
"Again? Woman I told you, this is a MEATERY! You a damn rabbit or somethin'? Always with the fruit and grass..." Madlock would say with a long sigh, pulling out a notpad from his apron and simply writing "usual" on it before his eyes would glace over towards Bansho, "And for the newbie?"
"Oh! I know, I know!" Zuqetta would perk up excitedly, "A fruit bowl for Bansho too! But also, a good ol' bone of meat! Lets go wiiiiiith, rex!" she'd exclaim, giving a smile to Bansho, "It's tough and way more flavorful than ya might expect for its size! Even has a bit of a spicy kick to it in my opinion, I absolutely love it!" she'd explain to her simian friend.
Madlock would note the order down on his pad before giving a grunt and making his way back towards the kitchen, stopping only to acknowledge the boy at the counter.
"Red! Get off yer ass and get the pair a couple a drinks why don'tcha?!" he'd shout before returning to the kitchen to prepare the meal.
"Hiiiiiiiii Reddy!" Zuqetta would exclaim, giving a wide wave from the table to the boy behind the counter, who'd simply give a long sigh before moving from his seat to prepare the drinks. Zuqetta would lean a bit forward, her attention returned to Bansho, "That's Reddy, Maddy's son. Hehe, they've got a whole lil family business here. Maddy has a wife too, but I think she's still on Earth gettin' supplies. Least, I recall her a couple days ago sayin' she was settin' out that way."
Reddy would show only moments later, a tray in hand with four drinks atop it; he'd set down the first two, an unfamiliar tan liquid, rather bubbly. Then would set the second two before Zuqetta and Bansho both, the second clearly being simply glasses of water. Zuqetta tilted a head with curiosity as she examined the brown liquid; it had ice, and didn't seem at all like the coffee she enjoyed having.
"Cola..." Reddy would say in a rather mono tone, "It's new, ask if you want more." he'd remark, then turning away and pausing, "And it's Redlock..." he say a bit quietly with a small nod in Bansho's direction before quickly returning to his chair behind the front desk.
"Huh, never heard of cola before, honestly I think I'd prefer berri juice, this stuff looks kinda sus." Zuqetta would remark as her gaze narrowed on the drink, before looking back to Bansho, "Oh! That reminds me, I don't think ya even said where you're from! Heheh, I've shown ya plenty of Sadala, but what's your home like?"
