Despite the screeching sounds Tabor makes while he sharpens his bardiche with the rock and the sounds bouncing all around the cave, he could still hear Nero just fine. Perhaps it was either due to his travels around the galaxy or from maintaining his weapons for so long, but the warrior has gotten quite used to the sounds of steel against a rock. He listens intently on what Nero wants to say on the matter of improving. The hybrid finds it a rather comforting thought that there are so many people across the galaxy that are likely stronger than him, and to this, Tabor couldn't agree more. "It brings me great comfort that there are still others who could teach me their ways. I might be a teacher sometimes, but I will always be a student," Tabor comments.
Nero's statement about his greatest rival being himself was certainly an interesting one to consider. The only person out there who would ever consistently match up with the hybrid would naturally be himself, at least according to him. Tabor nods and replies, "Indeed, there will always be someone looking to push your limits no matter where you are, and one of them is always going to be yourself. You wish to be better than what you are now. That is why you train. That is why we seek out strong fighters. Though personally, I always think that two heads are certainly better than one. Learning about another fighter's own experiences will certainly shine light upon you and present you with new ideas."
A wise as his caretaker, Nero asks if the reason Tabor hasn't challenged Shakuhachi is because he might sound like a hypocrite for doing so. While the hybrid has his own beliefs that Tabor can't be considered one since he hasn't actively acted against his beliefs recently, there was still something that held Tabor back: Brotherhood. "Indeed, I do feel like a hypocrite if I speak up, but you do have a valid point," Tabor responds as he inspects the blade of his bardiche one last time, "but... at the same time I wish for there to be no hostility between the two of us. Even just traveling around has angered him, and it makes me think about how he would react if I told him what I believe in."
As the warrior puts his bardiche away, Nero raises some concerns regarding Cello, more specifically about his character rather than the clan he is a part of. "It is natural of me to distrust him solely on the fact that he is from the Mazoku," Tabor comments, "but even still, I do not know much about Cello personally. Perhaps there is a very good reason to distrust him, or perhaps he's a more noble man than I've thought. I do not know that answer until I meet him personally and truly get to know him."
