Character Transfers & New Game Plus

Whether you've run out of motivation, found a fitting end for your character's tales, or otherwise want to put one of your characters to rest, this is the place to do so. You may archive one character to send XP to a new one.

Once you have transferred or used NG+ you may be unable to unarchive the character, unless they fit the requirements of the Unarchival Process. Only transfer if you are absolutely certain you won't regret it!

Additional general rules of New Game Plus and transfers are as follows:

RULE 1) You cannot archive or standard transfer a character until you have all seven slots filled.

• RULE 1a) Attempts to bypass this check by spamming filler applications will be softly rejected.
  
• RULE 1b) Characters eligible for NG+ Pro are still permitted to archive/transfer regardless, if all NG+ Pro rulings are met.
  

RULE 2) Already existing characters cannot receive XP and Zeni from NG+ and transfers.
RULE 3) Staff reserve the right to suspend your ability to process character transfers on living characters if you have transferred too frequently to the detriment of the shared plot. Don't archive too frequently- try to stick with your characters! New Game Plus - Pro is exempt from this rule.

• RULE 3a) Additionally, if you archive characters too frequently as in the above rule, you may lose your 7th character slot either temporarily or permanently.
• RULE 3b) If you repeatedly stall threads without warning, or cause them to be put up for grading in an incomplete state, you may lose your 7th character slot either temporarily or permanently.

The are a few forms of Transferal and New Game Plus are as follows:

Standard Transfer: Allows you to transfer up to 68,000 XP and ALL Zeni from one character to another at no reduction. If your cumulative XP / Zeni surpasses this amount, only the maximum 68,000 will be transferred in spite of this.

New Game Plus - Lite: If your character surpasses 115,000 cumulative XP, they are eligible to use New Game Plus. This form of NG+ allows you to carry over 60% of a currently living character's XP and all Zeni to a new character.

New Game Plus - Pro: If your character surpasses 115,000 cumulative XP, they are eligible to use New Game Plus. This form of NG+ allows you to carry over 80% of a DEAD character's XP  and all Zeni to a new character. Staff reserve the right to deny NG+ Pro and instead shift a transfer to NG+ Lite if it is deemed that a character's death to exploit the NG+ system.

Note that the cost of any XP items counts in full in all transfer and NG+ calculations and thresholds. XP is calculated as (PL + XP Item Costs / 2 + Unspent XP + Companion PL(s) [Excluding Lackeys])

As SMM raises, so will the XP thresholds for all transfers and NG+.
