Hayle had not been on Earth long, but she was not going to waste time. There was something about this planet that unnerved her. Worse, she couldn't place her finger on what precisely sparked that instinct in her. The place was largely unremarkable; just over 70% water, no truly notable resources to speak of, and yet.
And yet.
She hadn't survived as long as she had by ignoring those instincts. It would be best if she sated her curiosity about this blue-green marble and then moved on. So, after completing the tiresome registration process and diplomatically ignoring the assumption that the only reason an Arcosian Family Head and her entourage would be here is to cause trouble, she had come to South City. The place, she was assured, that would most likely satisfy her curiosity about the luxuries of Earth.
The diminutive Arcosian moves with a self-assured grace through the city streets with only one hanger-on. A tall bird-man with resplendent red feathers and the sharp uniform of the Zumat Space Force. He had been giving her a running commentary for some time, eager to show off his acquired knowledge of the Earthling culture now surrounding them.
"Yes, very good Beyk. I must say, this treat you recommended is quite pleasing. What did you say it was called again?"
She held the cone of cold pink sweetness up to her mouth again and took a long lick.
"Iced Cream, My Lady. It comes from an Earth species called a cow, with a relatively simple manufacturing process, and can be flavoured in a variety of ways. You're enjoying the Strawberry type right now."
In terms of snacking she had to admit that it was an impressive opening gambit from the Earthlings. The city itself was interesting as well. Far less crowded than most she had encountered, these particular Earthlings seemed content to prioritise their comfort over raw efficiency. It was a promising start.
Her eyes drifted over another storefront filled with a range of figurines of various figures she was unfamiliar with; most likely local celebrities if she had to guess. Though the one with pink hair and sunglasses was vaguely familiar. The little statues seemed designed to dance when set into motion; she allowed herself a smirk.

"This is all rather... quaint, isn't it? And yet I can't shake the feeling that there's more to this planet. Most wear their true faces so openly. This is, refreshing."
