Mollusc travelled across the wilds alone, he had expected to find a city quickly but he had not. At the same time, he was not exactly going to fly to head over to find the city. No, for a journey of self discovery he had to take the hard road. That meant he just had to walk across the desert until he found something of note. The planet so far was suprising him even if he had not seen much. He was in a desert which he had never seen before. Namek had dangerous landmass in the north but not desert, it was just lava. This place was hot, but it was also dry. It was not something his body seemed to like all that much. He needed to find more water. As he walked away he would find a small lake surrounded by some folliage. "Hmm guess I'll wait here and get a drink." Mollusc would cup his hand into the water and he would begin to drink up. "Ahhh...so where I am going next." Mollusc mused. There had to be somewhere close, where people actually lived. Yes, while this travel in the desert was good, he wanted to learn more about the culture of Earth. It really was tempting to break his oath to explore the planet but he had to keep strong. It was important to keep one's words no matter what.
Barracuda was in the middle of the Western Wilds, undergoing rigorous training with a doppelganger of himself, made out of ki energy. His focus and job was to avoid the attacks and dodge the melee that the doppelganger of light was bringing his way. Furious lefts and rights, sword swings, flips and kicks. From afar, I'm sure it looked like the two were engaged in a graceful dance.
The heat was unbearable, and Barracuda's choice to use this as his arena to sharpen his skills was a testament to how committed he was to getting better. He didn't care what it took to get to where he wanted to go, within himself. He was willing to push himself to failure, exhaustion and implosion to become a master of his abilities. Creatures of the wild flew and walked by, unfazed by the spectacle, traversing their habitat.
After a long time of sparring with a copy of himself, he eventually let off an Obsidian Cannon Ki Wave that obliterated the Shadow of Light into a disappearing mist. Cuda immediately fell to the ground and sat, breathing heavy and resting on his sword. Beads of sweat dripped from his hair to the ground as he braced himself. The Gemoonian was happy with the results of his spar but he still felt unaccomplished. There was more to be done.
From a distance he started to sense the energy of what felt like another non-inhabitant of Earth. He used his sword to prop himself to his feet and looked off over to the east. Looking towards a nearby lake, Cuda saw a Namekian approaching the body of water in an attempt to get a drink. "What's he doing all the way out here?" Barracuda thought to himself.
The only Namekian Barracuda had ever come in contact with was trying to telepathically manipulate him over at the Orange Star Academy. He wasn't sure if this was an associate of his, or if the Namekians were in league with the group of Saiyans that had a bounty on his head. Therefore, Barracuda chose to watch the Namekian from afar instead of immediately approaching him, to keep an eye on the stranger's activities...
As Mollusc relaxed and got his water, he could sense someone in the distance. He didn’t know who exactly they were. But, they were close by. Mollusc was of course going to be on edge. He was on a new planet, and while he heard only good things about Earth, that didn’t mean every person who was on the planet was kind. Mollusc would slowly rise and glance towards where Barracuda was. He couldn’t see him but since he could sense his energy, he might as well say something. It was better than just standing here waiting to see. If this person was evil then they might as well get a fight over with. If they were good, then it would be good to meet them and have a conversation. “I can see that someone out here. You can come out and meet me. I am Mollusc of the planet Namek. I’ve come to this planet to humbly learn more about the cosmos. I wanted to become more knowledgeable. Though I must admit I am a bit lost. I am trying to find one of the main cities. You would not happen to know the directions I can take that are the fastest by walking.” Mollusc smiled and awaited to see if this power would head his way or if they would remain back to just watch what he was doing.
Barracuda was intrigued at the idea that this Namekian he had come across was, at least on the surface, a friendly energy. He even seemed to be a bit innocent, and unsuspecting. The key word though was "seemed," as Cuda was smart enough to know that this didn't mean that they couldn't be a valiant warrior or a formidable threat. His power level told him that much. In any event, they were both new to Earth, and Barracuda having been there a little bit longer gave him the ability to answer the initial question that the stranger had posed.
The Gemoonian levitated off of his feet and slowly glided over towards the Namekian's direction before landing on the ground with a graceful, enigmatic ease. "I think the closest settlement near here is West City," Cuda responded, pointing off into the distance. "Welcome to Earth," he stoically continued.
"There is much to learn about these lands, for the both of us," Barracuda said. "As you can see, I was training in the smoldering heat, trying to sharpen my abilities amongst the unfamiliar terrains of the land, when I sensed your energy nearby."
The temperature was insane, but Barracuda had begun to adjust, and his many years of training his body and mind had prepared him for situations such as this one where discomfort was unavoidable.
Barracuda would head over in his direction, confirming to him that he was not a threat. If he was he remained still hidden. The man noted that west city was the nearest place to find a settlement. "Good, I'll head there soon as possible. I assume that means I need to just head west of here? Or are we already close enough where other directions are needed." He could sense for where most people were but once again, he wanted to find it on his own using his normal senses. Barracuda explained that he was out in the desert because he wanted to train in an unfamiliar environment. Guess he seemed to not know much about these lands either. "I see? Are you a local then?" Mollusc was not sure exactly what a human looked like. And how he was talking he was assuming that this guy was not from Earth itself. But since this guy was training it did give him another thought. "If you'd like some help I can train with you. You can also then help me find West city. Traning by yourself can be effective but training against someone in a spar can help us grow a lot quicker." It was just an offer of course, if the man was fine then he'd just head on his way. With a vague idea of where he needed to go, he had no other reason to stay around.
