Freedom! Forever in Thought! [Ayumu]

The successor flinched as soon as the elderly man made himself known; and how harshly he did so indeed. He strode in upon a... bird? What was that plump thing? It looked like a bird indeed, but what it was, ultimately, was lost upon Takai. A visage of sheer confusion was clearly visible across Takai's face as the elder spread a handful of cheesy snacks around. Is that what those things ate? Regardless of what the successor thought, the outrageous stranger made his intentions and affiliation known immediately. It was evident enough that he was something had made Takai obvious, be it solely due to his stomach or otherwise, and something else was bothering him. A frantic scan of the pigeon, the elderly man, and the elderly man's movements was conveyed clearly from within the successor's gaze.

Frozen yet, Takai was stunned. Stunned, and very much overwhelmingly aware of this stranger that happened upon him. He was sifting through a pack of his, gathering and presenting tools and other implements. The elder soon spoke rather bluntly, admitting to his immediate woes. Takai hardly understood the problem. Nonetheless, the successor did not mention this; much less anything at all. It was by then that, finally traversing optically to himself once again, that a fighting pose became noticeable. Takai had struck a fighting stance, perhaps out of instinct, perhaps out of a defensive fear. He did flinch, after all. Relaxing himself, albeit hardly in his entirety, Takai witnessed the elderly man's unique hairstyle sag somewhat. Was it alive?

Then, the rest of the successor's thought processes caught up. This was it. The first person. Much of Takai's goals began with the first, and this strange, mustachioed fellow was it. Not the first choice, nor the last. An odd swirling pitched the most uncomfortable sensation in the pits of his abdomen. Don't be nervous. Anxiety leads to hesitation. That'll get you killed.

"I don't care what it is, old man. Make what you want."

A pause. Resolve formed. A brief wait with his mouth somewhat ajar.
