From around the corner, some things long in the making now arrive in the month of March! We have General Trait expansions, updates to Companions, a new system and some more items on the way for you to enjoy!
Given the extent of these changes all players will be given the chance to review their character's General Traits. Furthermore, those that have Companions, will be given the chance to review said Companions and update their builds accordingly. Please post in the Technique Applications thread in these cases.
GENERAL TRAIT EXPANSION |
NEW
METAMORPHOSIS — When transforming, you may choose to retain the MP that you currently have. However, you cannot use a Sparking Technique on that turn.
WEALTHY — You gain Zeni slightly faster! Your ZPW is raised by +0.3 if you do not have Cash Money or Favorable Contracts, and by +0.2 if you do have them.
EAGLE EYED — By spending at least one turn with no KP action to focus on a single target, you may glean their true current PL through the veil of Energy Suppression and Energy Setting, but not Antisense. Additionally, your Offensive Techniques gain +20% power against Escape Techniques.
REDONE
IMPOSSIBLE RECOVERY — You only suffer -75% HP when wounded instead if -100% HP. Once per thread you may use Second Wind even if you have already transformed.
BARE-KNUCKLE BRAWLER — If you enter a thread with no combat* items or consumables, your non-sparking Defensive Techniques that do not have the Evasive Variant gain +5% power.
MINION MASTERY — If your Minion's PL is under 20% of Malus, XP put into the Minion in question does not count toward Malus.

Companions in general have received a massive overhaul, the primary changes relate to their access to traits, revival and archive rulings as well as further differentiation into the three types, providing more unique functionality to all three! To read the changes in detail, refer to the Companion Rules & Types thread!
NEW SYSTEM |
That's right! A new system has been devised, but what does it do? Well, it allows your own characters to interact! This is the "Your Characters Here" system, which expands on Roleplaying Rule 6. In order to use this shiny new system, you are required to follow a specific set of rules as detailed in the thread linked in its own name.

Liquid Time Ring — Special Consumable
A mystical ring forged by unknown means, it comes to you and guides you to the light of other rings... Using this item allows you to have your own characters interact with a special system. Consumed on use. Detailed rules on its use can be found in the "Your Characters Here" Thread.

Whether it be a belt, pack, or simply stuffed in your pockets, these special capsules allow you to carry TWO more items into a thread beyond the normal limit!

Elite Flare Gun — Active
Appearing to be a standard tool on the surface is actually chock full of probably illegal Ki-infused bright powder, igniting with a massive flash when the trigger is pulled! The distraction allows you to make use of a 1/Thread 30% ESCAPE technique. You cannot use another escape technique on the following turn.
Senzu Banana — Consumable

Senzu Banana — Consumable
A variation of the Senzu Bean created from a series of planting mishaps in an attempt to recreate its strong healing. It can remove one negative Status Effect from whoever eats it. Consumed on use and can be given to allies mid-thread.
