Salvo had been able to pilfer off a good number of the electric crystals she and Jinx had swindled up from the caverns, although there were still quite a few left to sell. And Konats seemed to be running a bit lower on folks that actually did need her crystals - well, folks that needed them that wouldn't try to call the cops on her for having stolen them in the first place. The pirate captain was just starting to feel like maybe she ought to start looking at the other planets of the galaxy for potential buyers, when she recently learned of a new visitor to Konats who was interested in her product.
Well, perfect! The longer she could stay on Konats without feeling the need to pick up shop and move, the longer she could keep hanging out with the others in the Nova Corps who were also stationed on the planet. They were a pretty funny bunch, those girls. She liked them.
And as for her prospective buyer, Salvo wanted to make sure they were legit, and not just some fed secretly trying to catch her off guard and arrest or kill her, so as a precaution, she instructed the buyer to meet her in the place where no sane man would go: Dharatan. The once-bustling city that now existed purely as a home to demons and monstrosities of all sorts, as well as its fair share of spooky, broken-down buildings. Oh, and the portal to some hellish otherworldly realm that was constantly gaping over the city center.
So, Salvo waited for this buyer with her arms crossed, alone, leaning against a half-smashed car near the middle of the abandoned city. She'd spotted a few of the monster things on her way in, though they'd mostly left her alone, or were sent scampering away from a quick warning shot or two from her pistol. Demonic beings they may have been, they still feared death. Figured. With a groan, Salvo bounced her head gently back against the car behind her, rolling her eyes. "How long is this bugger gonna keep me waitin' in this cesspool of bilge-suckin' monstrosities?" she grumbled to herself.
