There were perks to not being a native. Things like the weird looks were nothing when you had a much better time liberally going through territory such as this. The thicker wilds of the Aster forest were roving with all sorts of bad things. Some were placed there by the Kashvar themselves and others were just happily coincidentally around the area used for defense due to their huge territories. It was probably the nastiest stuff that was native to the planet, and the void creatures already had them beat.
So why were the pair out here, on their way deeper still then?
"I don't like Vynh, or Nasibu as cities. I really don't. One's an archaic mess of tradition, the other's buried under all this and holds some weird customs, and both are quarreling at all times. BUT, I do think if we're going to be taking over the big bad city that is Lux we need to always keep our minds open to the prospect of expanding. Which means proving useful to the other half of the planet. Well, 'proving useful'. Proving we have something they should listen to so we aren't nobodies."
Which was why she was currently cutting through some of the brush of the forest here? It wasn't so simple.
"I hear they're wanting people to find the ones responsible for that hideous storm pouring over the planet about a year or so out. Both sides do, apparently. Some powerful magic boogeyman is what it sounds like, but I figured we'd meet with them and help."
Striker's not been to the place since the first and last time she stumbled onto it. Letting the thick foliage fall to the wayside and part their way to the large city's clear open outskirt.
"Now, help me find what looks like the 'Local Government Offices' or ask one of the guards, if we find one. My source was a little vague in address for probably several reasons. We're supposed to meet with one of their guys. Their dudes. He's a magic man himself."
