Tarine felt like he'd made a mistake.
He had to have spent almost a day trapped in this stupid metal death trap and he'd hated every moment of it, it was cramped, the air was stale, and he swore the persistent rattling was a sign that any moment something would fall apart and he'd be sucked out into the cold depths of space, he hadn't even managed to get a wink of sleep!
Well... that last one wasn't quite related, the other points certainly hadn't helped but he wouldn't have been able to nap anyways- he couldn't afford to miss what was coming. Plant, that jewel, was the Tuffle homeworld, yes, the Tuffle homeworld, even if the news seemed to paint the rest of the galaxy as being perfectly accepting of the fact a bunch of overly aggressive brutes had sunk their claws into it- unlike them, he knew better, someone down there had made sure of that.
Normally he was more content with his earthly existence, despite the Accords bearing their ugly head, he had a job, stability, occasionally time for a few hobbies- but Earth lately was feeling a lot less welcoming for people like him... and combined with the fact the Saiyans had gone through another leader along with a few rumours something big was on the horizon... that constant seed of doubt started growing, festering even, an itch in his skull turning into a headache the longer he ignored the truth: The Tuffles were in danger and it was his duty to do something about it.
Eventually his paranoid musings would be brought to a halt, a screen blipped to life with some warning about an unusually high gravitational pull from the planet ahead and before he had time to process it, he was pulled down into his seat as his pod hurtled swiftly through the atmosphere.
And that brought him to where he was now, somehow the little craft had survived the landing, though in a way much rougher than he would have preferred. The pod was of an older, and certainly cheaper, design that didn't possess windows, but even if the "lethal to a regular human" gravity wasn't making him grapple with the disorientating feeling of the blood rushing to his feet, with every breath feeling humid and heavy while he felt like he'd been sunk deep into the cheap plastic of his chair... there was the vague awareness he'd probably smashed into some sort of tree on the way down, whatever wildlife presented itself on this part of the planet either scattering or skittering closer to investigate this new arrival...
