The wind carried grains of debris and sand each step he took, in this wasteland that had been so torn by war and battlegrounds for a time this had to be some kind of social hub for the entire world. A middle ground, a neutral zone even, that was how he viewed it but now he was surprised there was actually much activity around here. What had first driven all of these mercenaries to gather was the conflict and now that there was none they had already managed to create a flux of sell swords that gathered here to make a living. Honestly, he did not like this place one bit.
Maybe it was the old saying that Knights and mercenaries were not made for one another but to be honest, this was somewhat even worse than Vegeta. Here not only strength ruled but money as well, which made the scene just the more crude and pathetic for the many that were actually a part of the many mercenary circles that hung around here. Nasu himself stood out like a sore thumb, he did not look the part of a mercenary at all. Truthfully he looked big and strong but that was it, there was no real trace of malice in his eyes or wickedness for gold.
Then why did Nasu visit this place yet again? Even last time he nearly had an encounter with someone that also possessed dragon blood, since then he found other things to do and was busy for a while. Yes, indeed, why was Nasu here? He had to be honest, truthfully this place was ideal. While the man had taken it upon himself to guard Hatchi for the time being he believed that was not nearly enough, it was not like conspiracies or plans would be formed right underneath the nose of the interested victims and this place served as an ideal middle ground.
No one would suspect you of anything if you had anything in mind and therefore the man was greatly interested in keeping track of things here too. So, one day he passed by, with his dark and golden boots, he engraved their shape into the ground every single step while his eyes vacantly roamed and tried to find anything of importance in the area. But that was before he was suddenly called out by an unknown voice, he did not know whomst had addressed him out but he believed it was some random guy he had just passed while walking.
“Hey pal. I am talking to you with the headband! Come check out my place, we got good and cheap drinks.”
Drinks? A guy that was advertising a tavern in the outpost? While he knew taverns were indeed a thing here, he also believed that no one would have one reason in the world to advertise them. Most people would just look for a place to drink and go. Yes, he was most convinced this had to be a scam, therefore he simply ignored it. Of course when Nasu began to walk away once more. The random bald thug dressed in typical Saiyan armor did not take too kindly of course and thus he approached Nasu from behind and grabbed his shoulders, gripping enough to make him turn around.
While this was going to turn ugly Nasu instead was quite calm, having realized that this man’s scouter must have not picked up on his power given he was currently suppressing it. Well, he figured there was one easy way out of this. Without powering up or anything like that, the man lifted the restrictions over his aura and allowed it to flow freely and be picked up or sensed by anyone in the area. The thug was stunned, watching his scouter suddenly pick up on such a number on a fellow Saiyan without having even powered up. He let go and backed away, and he also looked like he needed a fresh change.
“Well, that was quick.”
Of course once he turned around he could feel everyone’s gaze upon him, sadly. So much for discretion. Some even walked out of their taverns or activities just to watch for whatever this power level was.
