It didn't take long, even at their pace, to reach the hardware store. It stood out compared to the other plain stores around it, with bright red and yellow walls and a gaudy sign declaring it the Central City Craft Center. Kohi gestured up to the sign with a thumb, before turning to just lean against the painted brickwork. He had no intention of actually going inside to help the alien shop: she could find what she needed on her own now. He'd just wait outside in-case something went wrong. Given her behaviour so far, he wouldn't have been shocked to find out her blood money was actually just realistic looking zeni from some kind of board game.
"You can ask one of the staff in there if you have trouble finding anything. If you wind up not being able to figure out what you need, then just... I don't know, give the money to the school and hope for the best." He gave her a single nod, as if to confirm she could head inside, and then just relaxed back and lidded his eyes. He assumed it'd take a while.
The store itself was bustling busy, unsurprising given the time of day. The staff-team were overworked and undermanned, and the advent of a buy one, get one free deal on cans of paint didn't help the daily rush. If the alien decided to try to find the materials themselves rather than a prebuilt door, she would find that the store's layout was not conducive to quick shopping. The various materials were spread out throughout the entirety of the warehouse-sized location, forcing an aspiring builder to pass every advertisement and small-ticket item on display to get what they needed. It was practically designed to get someone to blow money on more than they intended to retrieve.
