"Be careful," Cato snapped the words before she knew what she was doing.
She knew that she was no match for this warrior, that here and now he would easily overcome what power she could bring to bear. Her scouter had told her as much. But her instincts were to talk back, and even facing down a monstrous power like this wouldn't overcome that.
"You may be powerful, Heran," she continued, the warning note dripping from her tone even as her stomach lurched. This wasn't someone she should be talking back to. She knew that. "But I'm still a Saiyan. If you want to recruit here, then that's your business. If you want to claim victory over Earth, then--you're welcome to it. I'd cheer you on, at the least. Hell, I might even help you."
"But don't besmirch what the Saiyans have done here--on Plant or elsewhere. Things haven't always gone to plan, that much is certain. But there's a reason you're recruiting here, and there's a reason you were so willing to defend the Tuffles. It's because you know, as I do, that the might of the Saiyan race is what really stands to tip the balance of power in the world."
Cato managed a smirk. The images that Fukushu were showing proved that he was a man of his word, if nothing else. He really did intend to persecute the war he was suggesting, though whose whims he followed as a mercenary she couldn't hope to guess. But her pride had won out, and it was too late to back down now. She might wish him well, but she couldn't allow him to dismiss the valiant efforts of the Saiyans in their past wars--not without protest.
"We're good for a lot more than that."
