The Amp Caverns were a region of Konats similar to the ruby mines of Earth. A downtrodden friend in Gamma Row had told Fukushu about this place, which greatly peaked his interest. The Heran had mostly collected the wealth he had needed to move forward with his space station, though he expected that the upkeep on it would be a struggle to maintain. He was always in need of more wealth, and the caverns sounded like just the place to check out.
The only problem was that he was unlikely the first individual to have that thought. The caverns provided most of the wealth of the Kashvar people, and they were now heavily guarded by them. His army was just in his very infancy and he couldn't dare risk it falling apart so soon... but if he could win this victory by himself it would be a huge statement for him. The defeat in East City still left a bitter taste in his mouth; he needed a win to wash it away.
He touched down on a cliff face which overlooked the main entrance to the caverns in order to scout things out, making sure to keep his power level as low as possible. Too often he had allowed himself to be defeated in battle by underestimating his enemies; this time he was going to do his homework. And so he spent the better part of an afternoon standing watch in order to pick up on any information which could help him win this battle.
From what he understood the caverns had a number of natural resources which the Kashvar sold to acquire their wealth, though it was the charge stones which were the most valuable. He definitely noticed that the caravans which hauled the charge stones off seemed to be more heavily defended than the others. Most of the powers that he was able to sense were above average, but nothing that gave him cause for concern; it was the ones he couldn't sense that he worried about.
He had come across that ability in Celeste; she was able to completely shut off any outside detection. It was an ability that he was trying to learn himself, though thus far he had yet to replicate it. He noticed that probably a third of the soldiers he spotted in total had this same ability, meaning they could have any degree of strength and he'd be none the wiser on it. Still maintaining his lowered power level Fukushu slid away down the side of the cliff face and began looking for a back entrance.
As it turned out the caverns had many entrances, though it seemed that the Kashvar used the one central entrance for transport; the others were guarded with much smaller numbers. There were dozens in total; far too many to properly defend which made things all the more easy for the Heran. He waited until the sun had fully set before making his next move, skulking over to one of the smaller entrances where just a single guard was posted.
He rushed him, extending out his hand to cover the mans mouth. With his other arm he anchored the man down and attempted to tear his head off. He pulled as hard as he could, but he wasn't able to finish the act quick enough. With his last action before death the man wrench free an arm and fired an energy wave into the air. At once the caverns were alive with the sounds of sirens and the cries of warriors preparing for battle.
