BACKGROUND: Chervii is a loser.
More accurately, a loser by Demon Realm standards. Too soft; they strike an ugly juxtaposition in a realm of hate, deception, and scars. Curiously their Kili and talent were enough to keep them physically safe. It was never combat Chervii had trouble with, so much as it was the concept of being TRULY devilish. Being a jerk - a bad one at that - didn't count for much. Much of their life was spent in service of the Coryndyr Kingdom as an Elite shock troop, the position helping to mitigate the distaste for their behavior.
Yet as a hundred years passed, the lower brass of the Kingdom's Court was finally fed up with Chervii's undemonlike behavior. So it was ordered: Chervii was exiled from the realm of Demons and would never be welcomed back again unless they proved themselves to be a true Demon in the mortal realms. Forlorn and disgruntled, they turned to a particular backwater planet thought to be an easy target still. Surely a swift conquering only days after banishment would be all the redemption they needed!
