Species Traits
Mystic Arts: You can heal your allies with your magical abilities. You can generate a heal valued at 75% of your PL for 3 KP, 150% of your PL for 6 KP. This interacts exclusively with your base power level, and heals based on your target's base power level. Once per thread regardless of level used.
Kai Kai: Once per month, you may travel instantaneously from one planet to another with up to 5 others. This also provides a free 50% evasive defense technique, useable once per thread, and it cannot have its power boosted in any way. You can also post freely in the Otherworld boards even if you are not dead.
Stallwart: While in your strongest available form, you may activate 10% MP Power Boosts on all of your Defense Techniques for free. This halts your momentum regeneration for that turn. However, you may not use any Power or Ki Boosts on attack techniques with your MP in your strongest available form.

Character Description
Appearance: Tholen is an intimidating figure. He stands at 260cm tall, or around 8 and a half feet, while weighing around 175 kilos with broad shoulders and strong arms. He sports a thick white mane which bridges down into an equally unkempt beard, which contrasts his skin which is soot black. He typically prefers to wear a simple black cloak with a golden embroidered serpent running across his shoulders. He walks bare feet and frequently carries a staff. He has marked himself under each eye with bright red symbols, the meaning of which he does not reveal to others.
History: Tholen was bore among the Kai, and lived a fairly typically life by their standards. His life was leisurely, lazy and without fear, which lead to him developing a rather indolent and sometimes even abrasive attitude. This would go on for the first five hundred years of his life until he was tricked by a Demon. The Oni are often juxtaposed with the Kais, with both species dwelling in opposite ends of Otherworld, with some rotten Kai even being cast down to join them.
Tholen had little thought of the Oni until one day one of their kind had managed to sneak onto the planet of the Kais. This Oni was of the rotten fruit variety, and had managed to disguise itself successfully as a Kai. It approached Tholen and invited him to eat and enjoy each other's company. Tholen happily accepted the proposition, though he quickly found himself regretting it. The Oni would ensnare Tholen, who had little in martial training, and teleport him back to the Demon Realm.
From that moment on there was little more than torture, at least in the eyes of Tholen. His captor claimed that the Kai had some higher purpose, and that he would force it out of him. For the next half century the Oni would 'train' the Kai, dousing him with drugs and magic to try an teach him how to see the unseen. There were dreams and visions and nightmares all blended into some cacophony of violence and prophecy. He never explained what exactly it was that Tholen was supposed to be seeing, but the horrible sights came all the same.
One day the Oni would leave without a word, with Tholen now free to leave the Demon Realm. Scarred and broken, but born anew Tholen found himself with new resolve. Some seed the Oni had planted in his mind had sprouted, and now he must let it blossom. He left the Demon Realm, but it wasn't to return back home. Instead his destination was to Plant, where the dreams had told him to go. That was where his services were needed.
