It was unusually warm, that was the first thing the girl would notice when she began to stir, having been out cold for the duration of the trip down to this thermal heated bunker. The blond slowly felt her eyelids part, opening to a rather startling scene of over hundreds of little green men slaving about against the molten quarry. She had to blink several times to simply register what she was seeing, quite uncertain whether or not she slipped through another dream again. Her head raised inches from the earth, fingertips touching her forehead gingerly as a sharp pain prickled against the skin.
An examination showed they too managed to break open blood on her as well, a light stain of crimson against a traditional milky white. Celeste tried her best to sit up, head throbbing in more places than simply where it felt wet, the constitutions of a migraine having found their way in. She managed to catch the slap, the question to follow, and quite simply couldn’t resist the urge to bite her tongue.
”Took one look at him,” she would chime in, nodding to Fukushu. ”Said he was the most beautiful thing he’d seen since the war.” The saiyan in question let his mouth drop, anger rising quickly, too dumbfounded to find his own voice as he tried to gather together an argument. The scowl the superior would give him was too comical, the witch bursting out in laughter to their reactions that her sides almost began to hurt. These idiots were in charge? How did they manage to wind up captured by these louts in the entire Wastes of all people? It was certainly a story she’d save for one of those times, hardly a crowning achievement though it was.
The witch gave a rather sinister grin to their jailors, directing another nod to the slavers yelling away at the unfortunate Saiba-men. One would crack a whip violently against the back of a tired worker, screaming obscenities as he barked orders for it to return to work. ”Employee of the Month?” A disappointed click of the tongue, her focus turning back to the heran who was bound with similar restraints to her own. The littlest of movements seemed to invite pain, so the blond would do what she could to remain as still as possible. True, they could very well attempt an escape at this very moment, toss the unfortunate bastards into the lava, escape as heroes as it were.
Though what would be gained, if nothing was learned? There still existed a slim chance the missing swordsman was down here somewhere, maybe bound in another location due to his threat level. Maybe he was trying to uncover the mystery behind this rather shady operation as well? It might’ve been too much to hope for at this point. Celeste was starting to accept her aimless curiosity had once more landed herself and someone else in hot water...almost literally. There was no denying she had become fascinated with what was going on here, if only to discover the purpose behind all the secrecy and effort to such large scale of an operation.
So...which side are you boys playing for, hm?”TWC:(+534)7675
