There was no denying that her return to Earth had certainly become interesting. Well, wasn’t that a bit of an understatement? The blond had to laugh over it to herself when she considered the past week or so; a series of events so unusual and unexpected it certainly left her to wonder what else might be in store. The witch played at consideration when she took to the skies that evening, eventually coming to find a suitable plateau, upon which to conduct her aimless and rather quiet studies underneath a partly cloudy sky. The stars weren’t as visible to her preference, as with much since her return, but Celeste was willing to make do with what she could. Adaptation was a gift she was so very good at after all.
A few simple instruments had been conducted for simple observation, her interest this evening surrounding some talks among enthusiasts in South City at a quiet busy bistro. They gossiped feverously over the approaching rotation of Mars, and the planetary alignment of the Sol system set to take place later that year. Celeste had to admit she had always been curious about the other planets which so closely neighbored their blue jewel, they had always been subjects in her studies of the skies during her upbringing. Though now that she had been to another world entirely, it begged to wonder if any of them could be traversed, if they too held any source of power on which to draw.
It was a wonderful way to pass the time, a bit of a breath from it all, if she were truly honest.
The witch hummed casually to herself; one eye closed as she peered through a rather unusual telescope as she continued to try and find Mars out there among the sky. The red planet, star of war, named after some old myth from some forgotten time. Wouldn’t that be a place to see? The witch continued to wonder what sort of secret rested undisturbed beneath the hot red sands of that familiar, yet so mysterious neighbor of her beloved Earth. Though try as she might, the clouds would obscure where it should have been according to her own charts against the city dweller’s news reports.PL: 52,000 | Antisense: Off
