"Welcome fight fans to the Sol Coliseum, and welcome to the first ever Konats Rumble, brought to you by our esteemed Lords and Ladies of Konats.
Many of your have come from far and wide, not just from Konats but much like our competitors here today, many planets around our galaxy. You've come to watch the best of the best duke it out to see who's got the best coordination, the best teamwork, and who will at the end of the day be the strongest team fighting before your eyes.
Our first matchup brings to you an anomaly in this tournament with both teams coming in with all four competitors signing up solo, meaning these fighters had no idea who they'd be fighting let alone who they'd be fighting with when they put pen to paper.
From team one, hailing from a planet as mysterious as the fighter herself, the Planarian Deca! And their teammate, a farmer from Earth who is Half Saiyan, Half Earthing but 100% ready to prove himself here in front of you, Celerous Fark! This team may not have the star power you expect but they look strong to me. I'd not underestimate them one bit!"
And their opponents from team eight; A young fighter with pure Saiyan blood running through their veins, young in age but strong in spirit, Jagaimo! Her teammate, it looks as if there is little information shared on the origins of this fighter, but I'm told recently returned from a fruitful trip to Planet Namek and looking to make an equally impactful mark on this tournament. I'm unsure what that means folks, but it sounds ominous and exciting, our final combatant, Sankishin!
Combatants to the ready, and FIGHT!"

"Very flat." Were Deca's first choice of words, floating a nudge off the ground as she made her grand entry. Despite the black flight suit looking like it'd be horrendously uncomfortable in the glaring desert sun, the alien seemed unbothered as she curiously looked around. Maybe she'd see Crotona or Zuqetta again, either among the audience or (more likely) as participants. Planarians were not known for their strong fighting instincts or need to prove some kind of superiority, and Deca mainly had entered the tournament as a personal test. After her run-in on Plant with the unruly Saiyan, it became clear the rest of the galaxy might not be so welcoming, and testing her self-defense skills in a non-lethal honorable fight seemed perfect.
Of course, with her luck, there happened to be TWO Saiyans involved in this match - or more accurately, one and a half. She'd not met any of them before, though the big scary-looking man on Jagaimo's side of the field looked a little out of place. Not for lack of strength, but for the uncomfortable aura he so effortlessly projected. The teenager's fingers laced together as she turned to her partner, offering an encouraging smile. "Hello! Hi! You have already heard, but I am Deca. Please understand that I am still very new to this kind of thing." She'd return to face the opposition, offering a high wave and amplified voice: "Good luck! Auspiciousness! It is nice to be fighting with you!"
Kamae had come to this world by accident, yet he had stayed for his own purpose. Something about this world sang to him, a sweet melody that he had a feeling would lead him to a new discovery. Yet now was not the time for discovery but to see the world as it was. As he was announced in, the white figure of the Sankishin came out from the shadows of the entry way. Slowly making its way to the ring, taking his time as he examined the audience in question. He kept his senses sharply on them, taking in their biology and looking them over.
As he got to the ring, the demon stopped before letting out a deep sigh. He didn't want to fight in a tournament, yet this was a chance to learn more about the fighters on this world. The first one he met was a girl... or what he assumed to be female, named Deca. She was a strange one, almost defying the very laws of nature itself. Clearly she had to have some sort of magical properties to be like that, but he couldn't be sure. Whatever the case was, she was certainly an interesting specimen.
Now all they had to do was wait for the other contestants to arrive... then they could begin.
It had been Gramps' idea for Celerous to come here. The young hybrid himself had consigned himself to stay on the farm, and certainly never to leave the Earth. But the old Saiyan had been persuasive, in his own gruff, abrasive way. Cel had only ever lived as an Earthling. His Saiyan heritage was something he barely acknowledged, most of the time. The geezer had a point, when he'd told him there was a whole half of him left to discover. His birthright, that of the power of a warrior race, had always flowed through his veins.
But here, on the tournament stage, Celerous was certain it wouldn't be enough.
According to the bracket, he was facing Kamae, a... spectre he had met back on Earth. Capable of creating life killing trees, that sucked all the energy out of anything it touched. Celerous didn't know how to deal with an opponent like that: someone that could kill on such a grand scale. He supposed there wasn't much he could do, but that was no reason to call it quits. A Saiyan lived for battle, or something like that. At least that was what Gramps had told him. So Celerous owed it to himself to fight anyhow, regardless of the outcome.
His partner turned to him, a... well, an alien whose race Celerous wasn't familiar with. Judging by their power, though, they were a match for him. At the very least, the two of them would (hopefully) be able to work in tandem.
"Celerous," he introduced himself in turn, "it's a pleasure. And don't worry, I ain't got much experience in this either."
Then he turned to the other side of the stage. It seemed Kamae wasn't here yet, but some freaky white demon looking thing was. It gave Celerous the jitters.

"Somebody has to start. Somebody has to step forward and do what is right, because it is right. If nobody starts, then nobody can follow."
With everything that had been happening with her recently it had been a last minute decision to travel to Konats. At first it had been curiosity, when the world newly finally emerged from the storms that had kept it off navigational charts for so long she had wanted to see what the world was like for herself instead of listening to the stories of others who had, most likely, heard the stories from someone else. What she had found was unlike anything she had seen in her travels before. Ancient architecture melded with technology fused with a magic of sorts all part of one society and it had taken the young Saiyan a few days to get used to what she was seeing. Everything was so different to Plant or even Earth where she had seen some weird things. And while the world didn’t seem inherently welcoming…she didn’t get the same hostile feeling you got just being in and around Salada.
But Jagaimo had had an ulterior motive for traveling all this way. The tournament was one every traveller's lips. You couldn’t pass through a port or even a town without someone wanting to speak about it, or overhearing snippets of who might be attending and who was worth betting on. As she learned more about the event, the thought of so many great powers gathering in one place seemed like far too much of an opportunity to miss out on. Despite her…issues…with her own powers she’d made good progress in getting them stable once again and where better to stress test what she was capable of than with a bunch of fight hungry strangers?
Signing up for the tournament had been easy enough but not having a partner meant she’d been put into the draw for a random team when the matches began, which could mean in all likelihood she wouldn’t even know who her teammate was or what they were even capable of. The thought had made her chuckle at the time. Chances are things were going to be interesting either way.
When the fighters were announced, Jagaimo watched as the others made their way into the arena, listening to the crowd's reactions, the noise and the cheering. The fans here didn’t seem to care who they were watching, just that they were watching. It was incredible to feel that vibration through the stone, no explosions or the sound of battle but the mass of races gathered to watch a grand spectacle and just generating enough sound to shake an arena.. Even when she put her hands over her ears she could feel it rumbling through the building, it was awe inspiring.. The Hole was one thing…this was a whole nother level.
Jagaimo checked the bandages wrapped around her knuckles, adjusted the straps of her tank dark green tank top and scrapped the soles of her heavy boots across the ground, giving herself a nod at the preparation before The young Saiyan stepped out from the archway she’d been allocated, walking out into the light and catching sight of the vast structure around her for the first time…turning slowly on the spot to take it all in. It was one thing to be sat in the stands looking down scouting the place, but actually being down under all those eyes made her stomach twist a little. The match hadn’t even started yet and she could feel the adrenaline already starting to course through her veins. It was a thrill she loved to feel.
She looked over to her partner, eyes taking in the sight of that white skinned creature standing there but as her senses rolled out she could feel anything from it. Where it stood, where she should be feeling something was just an empty space. So either her partner didn’t exist, had no power of their own or they were able to mask it much like she was. She couldn't think of anything inspiring to say in the moment so Jagaimo gave a polite nod in their direction to acknowledge their alliance for the time being and turned her gaze on the two opponents opposite them in the arena. The half breed was an easy enough read, just enough Saiyan to be recognisable as such, her eyes meeting his for a moment and again a respectful nod of the head. Not much but enough to know she saw him. The other…Deca…was what drew her attention the longest. Jagaimo had heard of the planarian race in passing but had never witnessed one of them in the flesh. They were a complete mystery to her. What wasn’t a mystery was the power both of her opponents were outputting. Both outclassed her in terms of raw power but maybe they just weren't that good in a scrap?
The young fighter braced her feet, elbows at her side and fists clench in front of her, head down a little. The air around her whipped about, flying her huge mane of hair like a cape as her power rose steadily…reaching its limit with a burst of purple light before everything settled once more, a determined look on her face as she got ready…
"They don't seem very talkative, ha ha..." Neither of their opponents responded to Deca's greeting, the Alien nervously retracting her arm and staring out across the coarse sandy dirt. Everyone seemed so serious. Sure, this was a competition of some kind... but did that mean all friendly banter and fun had to be quashed? She hadn't really come here to WIN either, a tiny bit of shame creeping in as her partner probably had. Fighting was never something the Planarian found interesting on a personal enjoyment level. "Well, um, I expected there to be an announcement-" The belated announcer signal to begin battle (after the mandatory introductions, of course) rang out, startling the Alien.
Jagaimo's more showy flash of purple power attracted Deca's immediate attention. In a swift scramble to not get left behind, the Planarian ended up being the first to attack! "OK here I go-!" Thrusting her arm out, a small surge of psionic energy swirled together to form a greenish-yellow-edged cylinder, the attack flying towards the Saiyan. The projectile would EXPLODE in a bright flash of light and heat once it came close, not doing too much damage but certainly catching the intended target off guard if they were too slow.
Deca enters Byte (x4)!
She fires a FLASH/drive at Jagaimo for 16,000 potential damage!
Kamae said nothing while the group seemed to have their own entrances. It wasn't till Celerous arrived that the demon chuckled coldly, turning to face the man full on. He didn't seem to have grown to much since their last meeting but the fact he had gotten here made the demon curious. He had said he wanted to remain a farmer, yet here he was in a tournament of strength. The demon was not amused by hypocritical people who lied to themselves, yet he couldn't dismiss that perhaps something had changed his perspective.
"Celerous, its been a while. Got tired of trying to plant things and start up fighting hm? I didn't know you were a half saiyan, perhaps your genes are what brought you here."
Kamae saw that Deca retracted her hand, only to shrug.
"Apologizes, I was distracted."
Was all he said before returning his gaze to Celerous, determining he would fight his opponent like this. No reason to crush them with excessive force. It wouldn't be fun for anyone, let alone Kamae. He couldn't learn anything if they were crushed immediately.
"Alrighty Celerous, lets see what a half breed can do. We will leave those two to fight their own battles."
The demon would then make a "bring it" motion, the halo around his back disappearing while he placed a hand behind his back. It could be fun to see what a half breed saiyan could do.
Hold up, so the freaky looking demon thing was Kamae? That... well, that actually made a whole lot of sense. Even so, Celerous still found himself surprised. And alarmed. The last time he'd seen Kamae, the self titled "Demon God" was nothing more but a bit of black smoke on the wind. But now... whatever this thing was, well, it frightened Celerous. He couldn't feel his power level, but even so, Kamae's new form looked strong.
"Well what can I say," Celerous found himself chatting with Kamae easily, despite of his alarming new form, "meeting you really opened my eyes."
Deca, his partner, spoke to him. But before Cel could respond, she had thrown herself into the fight against the other Saiyan. That left Kamae to him. Anxiety welled up from within himself, frightened as he was at the prospect of fighting the man. But, well, this was a tournament. He had to fight.
And fears were meant to be overcome.
"Well, Kamae, I'll give it my best."
Celerous let out a roar, as he forced his power to coalesce, and his aura burned around him. He took Kamae's bait, and dashed toward the man on foot, only to stop a few feet away and hold out two fingers in front of Kamae, before quickly curling that hand into a fist and attempting to punch him.
Celerous enters Wrathful State, but utilizes his Earthling Heritage passive to restrict it to a 3x multiplier.
Celerous attempts One Inch Punch at Kamae for 12600 Damage.
Even as she finished releasing what power she had Jagaimo noticed that her partner in this tournament only seemed to have eyes for the half-breed Saiyan, meaning that whether she wanted to face her or not the young Saiyan girl was going to be squaring off against the Planarian. As the warrior watched, she studied the alien from across the arena, which in the scheme of things really didn’t tell her much more than she already knew. With next to no knowledge of the species or what they were capable of, all she could tell was that Deca was certainly stronger than she was…but hopefully she wasn’t an expert at applying that strength. But as the young warrior was learning the more she travelled round the worlds…you could never be sure what you might be facing.
When the buzzer sounded the noise caught her off guard, drawing her attention away from the opponent she had been left with to glance up and around the coliseum, taking a moment to piece together that the sound signalled that start of the match, more by the expectant look on the spectators faces then by what the buzzer actually signified. Jagaimo’s attention snapped back towards Deca as she caught the movements of her opponent's hand and the sudden sickly coloured energy that appeared at her command. The strange cylinder hurtled across the arena towards the Saiyan fighter when suddenly the aura surrounding her suddenly flared outwards, towering over her small frame before it condensed back to glow around her with a deep purple shade. Muscles thickened and bunched as Jagaimo tensed under the stress of the transformation as it wracked her body with its changes before she exploded from the spot she’d been stood in a burst of power, Ki reinforcing her limbs as she took the Planarians attack head on and drove herself through the exploding flash of light that blasted out over the area of the coliseum around her.
With her body brimming with her own Ki and smoking from Deca’s surprise attack, the young warrior threw herself across the battlefield in a rush of power, kicking up a trail of dirt and flinging herself into a barrage of attacks aimed at battering the Planarian’s defences down and driving them onto the backfoot if possible, hoping to set them up for a follow up if the chance arose…
Jagaimo transforms into her Wrathful State and counters FLASH/drive with Swinging For The Fences (2 KP 40%) for 16,000PL bleed through back at Deca.
They seem to be getting along well. ...As well as attacking each other in a legal setting is, she supposed. Deca's sudden attack on Jagaimo seemed to have landed at first, but the sudden wild burst of power pushed back against the feeble attack, obliterating it. The whole bulging muscles and exploding part was new. "That looked kind of painful. Are you alright-" Startled by the girl's speed, Deca found herself in an unfortunate situation of contending with a physical assault. "I, um, don't too well-" Dodge a punch there, "-the whole melee-" Avoid a kick there, "-thing, so maybe we could not?" Presuming that asking wouldn't be enough, the Planarian quickly projected a tangible pulsating field of psionic energy, shielding her body from further harm.
"Alright! Don't say I did not warn you!" With a simple flick of her palm, Deca tore some hardened clay dirt from the ground, packing the chunks into perfect spheres and tossing them haphazardly at Jagaimo in an attempt to throw the Saiyan off her balance. Deca spared a glance at her partner for the battle, catching the tail end of whatever Kamae's response to his punch had been. "Are you doing alright over there, Mr. Cellerous?" This was a TEAM tournament, after all. Neglecting one's partner to focus on one-on-one seemed like it'd be a very foolish move.

Kamae was pleased that Celerous was willing to give a fight a go. It had not been so long ago that he had met this little farmer only to enjoy a small meal after that event. Though he had not changed much, it was pleasant to see the growth of an individual even if it was by a tiny amount. The saiyan then rushed Kamae but stopped short, placing to fingers just inches from his chest only to then punch him in the same spot. The demon sliding a few feet back, his feet skating along the ground.
After a moment he dusted the spot off while watching the saiyan. A small mark on his chest from where he had been hit. His opponent could pack a punch it seemed... but he wasn't quite as strong as the demon was. This left Kamae in a bit of a pickle, he didn't want to make it unfair, which was ironic given who he was. Yet he was keenly interested now in visiting the progress Celerous had made.
"Ahh I see. You've grown quite a bit in strength but... still not quite there. Allow me."
With that Kamae's power lowered to his opponents level, the sankishin matching his opponent completely. With a sigh of relief he rolled his shoulders and chuckled. How exciting to find something to be interested in after his last project.
"When we met on those farm fields... where did you go after that? You say I opened your eyes and yet you said you were content. Did you seek to end me yourself? Did I leave that bad of an impression my dear boy?"
Kamae wasn't actually upset that Celerous had a bad impression of him, it was more of a conversation continuation rather than him truly worried about how another views him. Kamae then seemed to shimmer only to create a clone of himself, the shadowy clone then rushing his opponent down before leaping at him as if trying to dive into the man's chest. Should it succeed, the shadowy figure would throw itself into him before passing through causing a chilling cold within if it succeeded. Kamae didn't move the whole time, arms just settled on his hips while he watched with an eye less gaze. His vision searching Celerous' insides with his new vision.
He was looking at Celerous' muscle mass, his organs and nerves, at the tendons within the man while he studied the half breed. Kamae didn't know Saiyans could produce half breeds, but now he was even more curious about that possibility. Perhaps if he crossed their genetics with arcosian, he could produce a hard shelled monster in the future. Such exciting projects were already crossing the demon's mind.
Celerous' fist made firm contact, enough that Kamae... or whatever he was fighting, was sent skidding back on his feet. If Cel was surprised that he'd landed the blow(he was) his face didn't show it. Instead, his eyes were fixed on his opponent like a hawk's. The punch had done some damage, evident by the mark left on Kamae, but it was nothing to write home about.
"I don't want to kill you, Kamae. I don't want to kill anyone." Celerous' voice was firm and clear, "matter of fact, I rather like you, despite our philosophical differences. But you invented something dangerous. Something powerful. I reckon that if you can do something like that, then others can too. Others that might use their talents for ill. And I've got a family to protect."
Deca... that was her name, right? He should have introduced himself properly. Anyways, Deca spoke to him, and Celerous cocked an ear in her direction, but kept his eyes on his opponent.
"I'm alright at the moment Deca. Give me a shout if you need me." Though, honestly, Celerous didn't think he'd be physically able to escape Kamae if the alien girl actually required his help.
Kamae... shifted? No, that wasn't the right word. It was more like he flickered, and very suddenly, there was a dark shadowy doppleganger quickly approaching him. Celerous charged right back at it, and then figuring that he probably didn't want to get hit by this thing, Celerous seemed to simply... vanish. The Shadow passed through the space Cel had once occupied, but the young hybrid was clearly not there any more.
It was then that Celerous reappeared, in front of Kamae once more. With two fingers pointing at his opponent once again, Cel tried one more One Inch Punch, this time at Kamae's gut.
Jagaimo’s muscles raged against her as she flooded them with all the power she could muster in that sudden moment to survive, surging through the previous attack to launch into one of her own, teeth gritted against the strain. She’d never put her body through such a sudden aggressive transformation before and knew she’d probably regret it later on…the young fighter wasn’t even sure how long she could sustain the form with the added stress of combat. The Decarian…Planar…Planarian Deca! It was hard to focus on anything but wanting to pull her limbs off and her opponent's words didn’t seem to penetrate through the fog that seemed to have invaded her mind with the transformation taking hold.
But despite the force of her attacks the nimble alien seemed able to slip aside and weave out of the way from everything that was thrown at her. When a blow finally landed Jagaimo felt the force of it reflected by some kind of barrier that had been thrown up between them around her intended target. She let out a growl as the impact drove her skidding back when she connected with the Planarian’s defensive field, shaking out her arms and preparing to dive back in,
“Not bad at all, but you can do bet…son of a b...”
The words were almost snarled out when she was suddenly bombarded with orbs of hardened packed clay, smacking into bare flesh with heavy slapping sounds, giving the young woman pause as she throw up a guard to block her face, giving a grunt at a few of the wayward blows that she suffered to the rest of her body. The pause gave her a chance to sweep out with her Ki sense as well as her eyes, taking in that her partner at least seemed to want to fight fairly as well, his power almost matching his opponents, the farmer half breed, perfectly. They weren't working together but she had her doubts as to whether this Kamae would even welcome her assistance or if he’d ever need it.
With her opponent distracted, even for a brief moment, checking in with her partner gave the Saiyan girl enough time to compose herself and leap in once more to close the distance, a series of rapid light strikes flowing out as she closed the distance to a more comfortable arms reach, hoping to try and find some kind of advantage.
Jagaimo uses Testing the Waters (1KP, 20%) for 16,000PL Damage Vs Deca.
Putting aside the strangely personal quarrel between the two other fighters, Deca focused her attention on the Saiyan attacking her. The girl seemed angry, which confused the Alien a bit. "Did I do something wrong, incorrect?" Amid combat was not the best time for peer review, but as far as Deca knew, this was supposed to be simple regulatory combat. Nothing she had done thus far seemed to warrant such an emotionally charged response. "OK! I will do the same!" responded the Planarian at Celerous' affirmation, head bobbing. Unfortunately, her barrier had faded.
Jagaimo sensed opportunity... and pounced! Polygonal fingers curled as a pulse of psionic energy radiated from the Planarian; an extra mote of power poured into this attack as she flung it forward. The projectile hit Jagaimo's oncoming fist... accidentally. At least it served to stall the Saiyan, exploding in another searing flash of energy. Deca floated backward, gaining more distance in the distraction and ripping more clay from the ground. This time the earth formed tightly-packed circles, flat ends aiming to relentlessly smash Jagaimo into the ground.
"And... you!" Assuming she had a moment of free time, the girl quickly turned to Kamae and flung a few errant balls of clay towards him as well! They'd been fighting one on one so far, but this was a TEAM tournament, and Deca decided it'd be best to bring the team aspect in before things came to a close.
Deca spends 2 MP for a +10% boost to her next attack!
Testing The Waters is clashed with a boosted FLASH/drive (24,000), DEFEATING it and sending 12,000 PL in bleedthrough back at Jagaimo!
The battle had been raging for some time but neither team could get a clear edge. While the crowd wanted to watch more of the battle, the ref had to step in.
“That was one intense battle. But it is coming down to the judges to decide a winner. Both teams fought well even if they both had some odd combination of fighters. But after some deliberation we have come up with the winner. Please give a round of applause to Team 1. They are the winners of this round! Deca and Celerous, they shall be moving onto the Semi Finals to keep proving their tag team skill!”
@deca and Celerous are moving onto Round 2 They will be facing Team 5 In the Semi Finals
