After a long and cramped ride in the back of a passenger ship Tarine had finally stepped out onto the ground of a new planet. The feeling was... strange to be honest, besides the spaceport everything around him looked... old? It was a sprawling mass of streets and walkways like what he was used to blended with a mix of ancient architecture he probably would have spotted in a history documentary. And then there was the gravity, was he lighter... heavier? He'd stopped to bounce on his heels, trying to get a feel of what was so "wrong" about it, he quickly decided the venture was pointless, shook his head disappointedly and kept walking.
…But this planet was giving off some weird vibes, he'd only been here for a few minutes and part of him was complaining it was too hot and he wanted to go home already.
No- he wasn't going to do that, he'd already paid his fare and he'd be going back on at least a few weeks of planning, besides, when was he ever going to get another chance like this? His boss had closed up shop for the foreseeable future claiming she had some business offworld, he hadn't thought to ask what it was but it conveniently opened up his schedule for right around the time that huge tournament was happening- not that he was super enthused by fighting people himself but it did go back to that project he was doing on seeing how people utilised their ki, and unlike his time on Battle Island this was guaranteed to attract people from all over the galaxy, he'd be able to get so much data down!
Eventually the pseudo-Tuffle's aimless wandering would take him through the city and down into some type of market square absolutely packed to the gills with items he didn't recognise- on the way he'd also come to a bit of a revelation- he didn't need to hide his ki anymore, this planet was far away from the president's invasive measures to keep ki users in line and he wasn't going to be punished for something so arbitrarily stupid. He was still nervous about the idea, the seeds of paranoia had been planted far too long ago for him to expect there wasn't a catch, but it was freeing to know he wouldn't have to keep constant tabs on himself while he was here.
So he got to exploring the stalls, some had a wide variety of unfamiliar dried herbs and spices, either for foods or teas he wasn't sure, he'd spotted strange souvenirs, vases, jewellery, even things claiming to be "magic" in some capacity... for now though he was bent down to get a look at an intriguing pair of scented candles, he didn't know what the label meant by "guiding" but he wasn't opposed to having something to brighten up his apartment.
